I'm not a Canelo fan as I think he is still unproven, but what do they have to worry about? I think it's the Lara fans who should be worried that their fighter doesn't fade into obscurity after last night performance.:deal

These idiots are the same one's who said Lara would be on another level compared to Vanes, it would be an easy task dispatching this ducking bum, yet Lara only managed a draw against a guy who was attacking him all night, and to run away from the so called bum.Then end it with MMA Headlocks and Headbutts oh yes Lara is a monster.

Im not saying Lara is a bum. I think he is a good fighter, but he definitely isn't the monster everyone was making him out to be. At least now all that noise has came to a crashing halt. Good for you though for sticking by him after this bad performance.:good

Another thing I don't understand is how people criticize GBP for looking at the business side of things with Canelo, but these same people have no problem with Lara doing the same. Why do Lara fans want him to fight Canelo if Canelo is as bad as they say? Why not go after Molina who many feel beat Lara if money doesn't matter? That's right, Lara is all about the money too.:yep

Difference is Canelo has a fan base and Lara doesn't. Not condoning what either fighter is doing, but those are the breaks. I will become a fan of Canelo's if he keeps his promise of fighting Martinez, Cotto or Mayweather in May.

Read the post properly and you will see I said he was a WW he's only a JMW 2 yrs but has had tougher fights in Mexico against guys with better records than Vanes or Lara's had on their way up, I agree GBP have kept him safe since they signed him but to say he fought nobody is insane Vazquez,Rosales who was meant to be a favorite over Canelo,Gonzalez,Goncalo who Canelo stopped, Rhodes was the favorite on ESB with alot of people look what happened there.

the reason No one is talking about Vanes here is because no one is hyping him except himself Lara on the other hand.

 

Good post. I don't have a problem with him going after the big money fights. When you have done nothing to prove you deserve to be in with them, yet people have proven that they should be in with you is where my problem lies. Vacate the title and stop baby sitting it. I think Canelo is a potentially very good fighter. It's just I think there are proven very good fighters in line for something he has, that frankly i feel was given to him. Lara and Molina have the same management and decided to go separate ways business wise. Both have had big wins and neither have faced this champion. Can you feel me? Knowing Erislandy's story and to have met him makes me want his dream of being a world champion be a reality for him. That about sums it up.
