I have a bad feeling Cotto will take the GGG fight

(Scar) Tell me why Clottey's face wasn't busted up like Cotto's when he fought Margarito before Cotto and got hit more? Every fight Cotto damn near bleeds or swells up, just look at the Pacquiao fight also.

I think GGG would be slightly favored. Let's not forget that Rosado was landing on GGG. Size is a huge advantage for GGG, but speed can neutralize size at times. Cotto has looked fast and his defense has looked improved with his movement the last couple fights. I know GGG is a different type of animal, but Cotto would be the best fighter GGG would have faced as a pro.

I don't think he will fight Golovkin. His best option financially is Alvarez. Golovkin is a healthy middleweight and Roach doesn't want that.

I don't really like Roach but he really does know his boxing. Credit where credit is due, he's an excellent trainer. He's a HOF trainer IMO.

Pointless? Really? How about to prove he can actually beat a 100% healthy top raked true middleweight champion instead of just carrying that belt around and letting people call him the lineal champ after beating a broken and shot shell of Martinez?

No disrespect to Cotto whom I have always been a fan, but I (and most boxing fans I suspect) just can't consider him the lineal middleweight champ after that fight. It's a paper title right now until he defends it against some real middleweight threats. He beats GGG and of course nobody can deny him. Not that I think this fight will happen. Even though Cotto takes on all comers, he will have a lot more money offered to take a lot less risk than fighting GGG. Not many boxers these days value universal respect and fame over $$.

This would be a great thing. He should fight GGG over Canelo.

It's all about attitude towards the opponent - recently I have rewatched Cotto vs Trout WBA Title and Alvarez vs Trout WBC WBA Title Unification. Cotto fought his usual self, pretty tight, realeasing stiff jabs and hard hooks from his shell, keepin low, pushin the pace at that position low and makin Trout bow to eat some short uppercuts and str8 rights inside and then suddenly at half way mark he lost his composure and started backing up until that in the final round he was in the same position Manny had him in, running along the ropes - the scores were exagerated ( 118-109. 117-111). Canelo took the fight to the taller man by 1 inch 1/2 at 5'9''1/2 and did plaster him loading up every chance he had with swift right hands like the one who dropped him by round 7.

If Miguel is gonna fight and he better fight his usual crab style with swiftness and pressure at MW he bettter take on Gennady b'cause Canelo already gat his number and already beat the man he lost to. I know it's not a fair assumption cause it's different weights and all, but Canelo is not gonna lose to Cotto most definitely and Golovkin is much unexperienced in terms of the professional game compared with Cotto.

He's the middleweight champion, he should face GGG if anything. WTF is going on here.

Not sure is Triple G just yet is the type of PPV attraction for Fossil Bob to pay Cotto the kind of coin that he'll likely demand for such a fight to happen.

A possible Canelo clash is economically more viable.
