I have a feeling Andrade will school Benavidez

I have Benavidez brutally knocking him out, that is after he manages to stun him several times, which prompts Andrade to hang on for dear life like a barnacle, which will cause Benavidez to fling him off like an annoying gnat, which the ref will rule as knockdowns. Eventually, Benavidez will stun him, corner him, and unleash a blistering combination, one of which will catch Andrade's chin while it's up in the air, as he's badly attempting to dodge David's unpredictable punches. Which will be the one that puts him to sleep.

I think Benavidez puts a beating on him, but Andrade is untested and sort of a wild car unknown variable. Not to mention, that Benavidez isn't exactly a world beater either. Yes, he did beat Plant, which is decent, but hardly impressive if grading on an elite scale.

Definitely disagree. Canelo has an entire resume of opponents he didnt have to fight but elected to. Canelo is probably the ONLY fighter who has essentially zero ducks. One could say he waited GGG out a year but even that is debatable...and he fought him 3 times, going 1-1-1.

Crawford, Inoue, and Usyk also have zero DUCKS but none of those guys have half of Canelo's resume

I do rate Benavidez highly and I'm picking him via stoppage in the second half of the fight and if he can start landing with any consistency early or in the first half of it then I can see him getting Boo Boo out of there in the first half. But Boo Boo is very talented, awkward and tricky, seems super confident and confidence can be infectious, and stylistically he can make anyone look bad. I can easily envisage him causing Benavidez problems and outboxing him for spells if he gets into his rhythm just due to how awkward, elusive and tricky he can be.

It’s possible, but Andrade is inactive, new to 168, and as a reflex fighter past his best years. I think Benavidez beats him by close decision.

Andrade was hurt before in the lower classes if i remembee correectly, against far lesser fighters than Benavidez.

I don’t recall the last time I saw Andrade against a good opponent. Haven’t seen any of his recent fights and I hope he puts on a good show. I’m rooting for a competitive fight more than either guy in this one but hope Bene wins because I want to see that Canelo fight. Boxing needs good fights with fair decisions. If that happens, I’ll be happy regardless of outcome.

Yes to both. I think he’ll make Benavidez look bad for long stretches of the fight. However, his inability to hurt Benavidez will result in a 3-blind mice decision loss.

Despite the hate Andrade gets, I am still wary of how awkward he can be along with his good skills and attributes, its a recipe to make a it a tough fight for David unless he catches him. He could also blast him out very fast, so its an interesting fight.
