Yes, you remember correctly.... since I keep a tally. Andrade has been hurt, stunned or dropped by Martirosyan, Culcay, Fox, Kautondokwa, Akavov, Nicholson and Liam Williams.
I'd like to give Andrade a shot here but I still have that burning image of the often off-balance clumsy doofus winging punches and trying to showboat against Sulecki. Andrade has to power to keep Benevidez a bit honest but I feel like over the years Andrades fundamentals have just gone to garbage. If he tries that swinging for the fences crap against David, he is going to sleep 100%. If he finds his discipline and if his conditioning is tight, he could make Benevidez maybe look average. I just don't trust Andrade to be disciplined for an entire fight.
Boo boo is a really good tricky full of skills however it will be some feat if he can keep the powerful talented combination punching skilled Mexican monster off him for all 12 rounds. Of course you can never be totally sure in a fight of this magnitude with guys as good as both are who are undefeated. However brother Serge if you put a gun to my head I would probably have to nod to David Benaividez hell but what do I know lol. I agree there is something in the air!
Andrade sucks, I'll be surprised if it goes the distance, let alone Andrade making it competitive. I'd love to be proven wrong, but there's a reason why Andrade has never faced a top-level title holder and it's not due to people avoiding him... Benavidez by stoppage between rounds 7-10 or wide decision.
I got you, brother! Early in round 5... it was 2-3 body shots in a row, Andrade folded and went to the canvas. The ref ruled it a slip even though the feet were clear as the shots landed and the Andrades feet were planted until he lifted his left leg as a body shot landed. No slip, mane. To make it more obvious, Andrade set off on his bike to avoid follow up shots. https://youtube.com/shorts/8y_4r9VuNLM?si=HmgdnREtLxdzOErR
Jesus, Benavidez is going to eviscerate Boo Boo tonight. Initially I thought it was a slip as well watching that, but as you said... the way he reacted after getting up. Clearly he was hurt by it. Okay... I'll add that one to the list. Thank you!
Godspeed, my friend I think you're right, David does a job on him. Other than being awkward I don't see that Andrade can offer a single thing that David has to be concerned about. Hell, people are hyping Andrade like he's this massive puncher... Nicholson, Williams, Sulecki, Kautondokwa, Fox, Culcay are apparently meant to be more durable than Benavidez? C'mon mane.
I got Benavidez, mid to late stoppage. How good would Canelo Vs Benavidez be! Very few fighters are willing to stand and trade with Canelo and for good reason but I feel Benavidez happily would.
