I have a gut feeling that Smith will upset Beterbiev and win

Is this the same Joe Smith that probably should have lost to Maxim Vlasov?

Same guy we are talking about? There is not other Joe Smith?

    Nah.

    Smith beats Beterbiev. No doubt.

Bivol Beat Smith. Bivol made ginger Clen grey.

Bivol Is king and the true dark lord of 175.

Unless Beterbiev has aged overnight, Smith is getting a beatdown....probably stopped.

It's possible. Smith hits like a truck, is very durable and Beterbiev has been down before. I favour Beterbiev myself, but Smith is a live underdog, very dangerous.

Joe don't even deserve to fight Beterbiev right now. He lost to Vlasov. Period.

We need undisputed champion at LHW at the end of the year and Bivol vs Beterbiev is the right fight for that.

The same Smith that struggled to put a dent in Vlasov is going to magically outbox Beterbiev

If he connects cleanly he could. Smith Jr. is one of the strongest in that division alongside Beterbiev.

Smith always goes out swinging from round 1
and throws caution to the wind. He is an exciting guy who is also still hungry as he came up the ranks the hard way.

I think this is a 50/50 fight because one bomb from either guy can end this fight.

I see it as an 80/20 fight. Smith has a chance but he has to strike gold to win while AB only has to do what he has always done. The big question is, when does age catch up to AB.

I like Bivol but I think we are getting a bit carried away with how durable Bivol is from the Canelo fight. AB hits much harder than Canelo. I would make it a 60/40 fight in favor of AB. I see him hurting Bivol and maybe stopping him. Can Bivol outbox AB? No doubt but he has to thread the needle.

For sure, but for 12 rounds ? I don't think so.

Nah. Smith punches hard and has a chance but for me it's a small one unless Artur has aged overnight which I doubt.
I still fancy Beterbiev against Bivol if they fight this year. I like both but think Bivol is getting a little overrated on here after schooling Ginger.
Beterbiev is still the danger man within this weight range but it should be a good scrap with Smith who can obviously crack pretty hard himself. I'm looking forward to a good fight that probably doesn't go the distance.

To be fair, Vlasov is real awkward and off beat rhythm slick and was a very bad style match up for Smith whose only official loss where he wasn't seriously compromised by a badly broken jaw, and he was fighting for 90% of the fight with a broken jaw against Barrera, is Bivol. He's been a full-time fighter for a few years now and he has improved a lot and Bivol pretty much schools everyone. No one has really taken more than three rounds off Bivol. Sure the judges have scored two of his fights close but in reality neither were close at all.

Beterbiev's age and wear and tear due to his extremely extensive amateur career and aggressive style, and his inactivity, definitely even it up in Smith's favour a bit but I still favour Beterbiev via stoppage as he's better technically of the two and hits a lot harder than anyone Smith has ever faced before. But then again, Smith is very tough, has never been floored, and he has fought some pretty good/decent punchers, and has savage power of his own, and also like Beterbiev has a superb engine and can throw bombs all night.

Both of these have either badly hurt, dropped or stopped everyone they've fought at the world level - Beterbiev with his KO 100% has obviously done so to everyone he's fought up until now - so if it comes down to a shoot out either could get clipped.

At 37 the disaster is near for Beterbiev and could happen any time
In promo vids they presented Artur as a Canadian citizen. I am glad he did the right choice. Russia is done
