I can't help but notice that some of you will often use the excuse of " Oscar beat Trinidad's leftovers " as a way to somehow take away from DLH's accomplishments. But tell me something.... what is the term " Tito's leftovers " supposed to imply? Is that supposed to imply that these fighters were never the same after they fought Trinidad? If that's the case, then please give me a good example of this.

I mean, I can agree that certain fighters like David Reid were never the same after fighting Trinidad, because it showed in the ring.. but some of the others, even Vargas, I just don't see what the difference was. Hell, Vargas was matching DLH round for round before getting stopped, so he hardly looked like damaged goods to me at that point. Mayorga would've gotten starched by DLH at any point in either of their careers, so I fail to see what was so different about Mayorga either. So can any Trinidad fan with a quarter of a brain in their head explain this brilliant logic to me?

I am hardly a Tito nuthugger(I'm not even a Tito fan). However, some accuse Oscar of having "handpicked' opponents. Given both fighters similar size, and fighting style, maybe Oscar felt that if Tito could beat someone, then so could he. Therefore, by wating until Tito beat a fighter, Oscar would have a good idea of how he would fare against that same fighter. This would indicate that he simply paded his record with handpicked opponents that he was sure didn't match up well with him.

Even that doesn't quite add up to me. Vargas and Mayorga are the ones who called out DLH. As for Campas, DLH fought him almost 10 years after the Trinidad fight.

Oscar knew he had no shot in this match(especially after seeing what B-Hop did to Tito). However, he tried to rig the match in his favor by making B-Hop weigh in at 158. After he realized that wasn't going to work, he found a nice spot on the canvas to lay down on in the 9th

Vargas did well against DLH with the help of steroids...look at Vargas' match with Rivera after Tito and tell me that was the same guy. Trinidad clearly adds substantial ring age to every fighter he fights.

Who ever hurt Mayorga before Trinidad? What did Joppy every accomplish after Trinidad except make it to the finish line? Reid didnt do a damn thing after, Blocker's career was over, he was the first to clearly beat Whitaker (i concede that Whitaker had his own demons). Trinidad brings the pain

    Rampage 0017 .........

Are you serious??? Vargas was never the same after fighting Trinidad. When Vargas fought Trinidad up to the time Vargas fought Oscar, now get this, he had been knocked down 7 times, even knocked down in the 2nd round by weak-hiting rivera, wobbled repeatdly in his fight with his former sparring partner Shibata flores and had been sent to the hospital TWICE and held overnight for observation he was beaten up so bad. He was not the same Vargas that fought Oscar that night or he would have beaten Oscar.
Just because he was holding his own against the Golden Turd (he was actually ahead by 3 points on one judges card when th fight was stopped)
you think he wasn't damaged goods. But being sent to the hosptal twice overnight and been knocked down 7 times in the 3 fights just before he fought Oscar certainly says otherwise. prime Vargas would have taken Oscar that night!

The opponents that Trinidad didn't soften up for Oscar...Mosley...Whitaker..We all know what happened there...haha I'm only fuking around here Oscar was a great fighter but I just don't like him and I've always liked Trinidad a whole hell of a lot more than him.

No one seems to mention that Tito turned pro nearly 3 years before Oscar did and at a higher weight class.

There was no way for Oscar to avoid some of Tito's past opponents as he moved up in weight.

That theory is funny u see it works one way around but not the other, Trinidad never get mentioned for Whitaker while he beat a VERY shot whitaker while oscar get all the bash in the world for beating up a juiced fernando vargas who was doing better then his fight with trinidad. These guys have no clue about boxing and never boxed
