What happened to the "he took a dive" theory?

Oscar boxed Tito? He ran Tito thats what he did. Sure he boxed early but he didn't seal the deal..When you give enough rounds like a little ***** like oscar did the score cards can come around to bite your ass. He didn't "school" Trinidad..He was physical exhausted and Trinidad could have fought another 10 rounds with that *****. Oscar could barely make it out of the 12th. This is the most annoying and dumbest fight in the history of boxing..Trinidad showed up..Oscar didn't because he started something that he couldn't finish and then he complained about the score card?

    :yep

you all act like Oscar "schooled" tito or he got robbed..PLEASE you're the bunch that are in denial about the reality of how that fight really happened.

It's been exaggerated. There were close rounds. Rounds 1, 4, 8-12 were all close. I had DLH slightly ahead after 12. It was not a robbery.

Its nobody's fault but DLH's and his corner's. He ran himself into a controversial situation when he had all the tools to make it a win in convincing fashion. I love Tito, but he would have lost that bout if it werent for DLH's slip up.

As EB said, the swing rounds were 1 and 4.

Trinidad fought pretty crappy that night. His poor ring-cutting skills and vulnerability to the straight right (as well as the jab) were exposed.

I'll at least give him credit though, for having better stamina, and hitting hard enough to the point where Oscar had to use his legs more, playing a role in DLH's fatigue.

Given what DLH had fought before, I was surprised at how little he wanted to exchange. I would have thought him to be more confident in his ability to hit and not get hit a little more in the pocket, especially with how off balance his jab kept Tito all night.

But yes, tito looked like a fish out of water that night, and he himself can be faulted severely for not letting it all hang out, as opposed to patiently following Oscar around the ring (and yes cutting off the ring would have helped).

The Mayorga fight was a good business move and a nice event. The right type of opponent for Oscar after taking so much time off. Colorful personality, he had a belt, and is easy to hit.

I enjoyed watching Oscar use El Matador as a punching bag.
