I don't think he confirmed it will be on Monday, I think he said next week.

If the fight does happen which I am skeptical about then I'm favouring Joshua, but it's not a confident pick.

Haye isn't the same fighter he once was, his legs have gone, he's not as agile as before with the extra weight. But Joshua likes to put on a show and isn't shy about going forward and looking for the KO, he will give Haye chances to counter that Wlad never gave him, so Haye definitely has a punchers chance.

But I think Joshua showed against Breazeale that he can be patient. He'll need to be more so against Haye who is far more dangerous but I think Joshua knows he can't just go in there and look for a KO, he'll play the long game, wait for Haye to tire and then stop him.

What it comes down to for me- it's a must win for Joshua, not really for Haye because I can see him retiring win or lose.

I don't see this. Whatever you think about Furys belt, if Haye was to beat, let alone KO Joshua, then he would be THE MAN.....certainly in UK terms. His star would then be massive......he could pick what fights he wanted and make huge bucks, not to mention all the limelight and showbiz he loves. I can't see him throwing that away once he gets there. Think he would milk it for a few years until a really tough mandatory looked to be coming up then call it a day.

That's one way to look at it.

While it's clear Haye has only come back because he needs to money, I think that for him it's more of a must win fight. He'll get a nice payday no doubt but he's already blown one fortune he needs to earn as much as he can while he still can.

A loss now for Haye means it's over, he can forget getting another big payday, a win on the other hand could see him earn even bigger money, possibly in a rematch with Joshua or a fight with Fury should he beat Wlad again and not get banned.

As for Joshua, if he loses, he can come again, he's young enough to take an early loss and come back, like Haye did when he lost to Thompson or when Wlad lost to Purrity or Lewis lost to McCall. Haye doesn't have youth on his side, he can't come again if he loses.

Eddie did say yesterday that Parker is the front runner. Pulev has apparently ducked AJ, and Stiverne is out of the top 15

Based off of this article and what Hearn is saying it could very well be Parker. He seems to be the favourite as he's being the most accommodating in negotiations.

Though this could just be a tactic from Hearn for others to cede in negotiations. But I hope not, while I think Joshua/Parker is a fight that needs a little more time to build, I'll take it over Haye any day.

No chance. Haye would KO the kid cold, even now.

And if he doesn't there is an absolute truck load of excuses you could use for Haye failing you. It's a win win for you basically

Not at all. Good on AJ if he wins, but my view is that he gets KOed. What's the issue?

Why are people building Haye up as some sort of threat ??
Are you all getting paid by Eddie Hearn?
