If a high protein/high calorie diet gives your body energy and repairs muscle tissue do you think that it could do the same in helping your brain repair itself after a match/sparring session? I realize it's a little far fetched. But I just wanted to see what everybody thought about this.
Nah, there is a protein that helps repair the brain but dietary protein intake has no effect on it, it's alot more complicated than that. Your brain relies on glucose 100% for energy so it's important to eat your carbs and keep well hydrated to give your brain and body the support to aid in it's repair.
I would say getting enough sleep every night is more important. They say certain foods boost brain activity, brain function etc... Who knows, just eat healthy, that's the best you can do.
No. Brain damage is not repaired due to the complexity of the organ. Your brain is made up of mostly fat anyway. The only protection for your brain is not getting hit. Remember that.

But water and carbs to fuel the protein is 33.3% important for each. Id say nuts are good for the brain.
