Been rewatching my Arguello tapes and Alexis straight punches are beautiful. I really mean it his right is the best stright right i have ever seen. I never get tired of it. It gets better every time i see it gets better. Had to share it with you guys
Arguably his left hook was better, but I think Alexis has the best straight right hand in Boxing history personally. Speed, powre, accuracy. You could not ask for more. How Pryor stood up to them, I will never know.
THE best ever right hand, you are right his left hook was great aswell but that right hand in round 12 against Mancini that was pure class how did Mancini stay up from it and last another round and a half
It wasnt fast but he compensated that with great timing and accuracy with tremendous power behind it. certainly one of the best right hands ever although i think Louis right was slightly better.
really i would rate Louis best weapon as his left hook and i think tahts better than Arguellos but i think Arguellos right hand is better. nice arse in the avvy by the way
Arguello is like a mini Joe Louis they just threw every punch with such perfection that its hard to pick wich punch in they're arsenal was the best.
Arguello's my favorite puncher to watch, his technique was just beautiful. The right hand gets the most attention, as it probably should, but that left hook was lethal. He was perfect with every punch.
It was textbook perfection, pretty much like most things Arguello did. JMM's right reminds me of it, though without the overall same degree of power.
yeh you said it a mini joe louis. Every shot meant something. perfect textbook shots I love JMMs left uppercut it is amazing
:yep Right at the end of round 2 in the 2nd Pacquiao fight, he hit Pac with an overhand right - left uppercut combination that had Manny on ***** street. The bell, however, was quite timely.
i love his combos to finish off Diaz with the little shuffles back to get range for his left uppercut
I just think he's a technical master full-stop. Sorry mate, I've hijacked your Arguello thread with a JMM manlove session :!:
That's a good call also. Louis' right hand, like Arguello's, just had that ability to find the sweet spot time and time again. Nothing more beautiful than seeing the straight right uncoil, it catching a guy just perfectly, and him dropping like a stone.
