he is far from finished like some have suggested. he has plenty of time to develop into a good, world class fighter

Alexis Arguello got ko'd in one of his first 10 fights

Margarito lost about 5 fights early on before he got a title shot. Rafael Marquez got KO'd a few times on the way up

Israel Vasquez got ko'd in 1 early on his career

The difference is none of them lost these early fights (and were dropped multiple times) having had the luxury of hand picking opponents.

Arguello and Vazquez were TKOd according to Boxrec, Margo was only beaten on points. Has there ever been a prospect come back from a 1 round KO? I dont think there has.
Besides, Khan's chin isnt the only problem. He's mentally weak as well, doesn't have the inner strength of character due to his pampered, wussy asian upbringing.

and are more humble than khan

and u cant put muscle on ur chin, khan chin is weak

    but he is 21,
maybe if he continues, boxing he can be good at age 28

0.0*% chance Khan amounts to anything at world level. Honestly. It's just impossible, he's been "gifted" with one of the worst chins I have ever encountered.

People were picking him in my Romanov-Khan thread as well, perhaps we can see how ridiculous this was now.

Face it.. Amir cant take a punch. Willie Limond posts here and I'm sure he'll be the first to admit he's not a banger and he had him in deep trouble. Gomez was shot and had him on his arse. Now a colombian nobody has starched him in under 60 seconds including 2 counts.

Offensively Khan is very very good, but he does not have good defense and his punch resistance is shite. He might manage to pick up a strap sometime in his career if he gets lucky and gets a shot vs a champ that cant punch, but he is ****ed as soon as he gets in the ring with a world top 20 with a half decent punch and always will be.

Correction. Arguello got TKO'd, not clean KO'd brutally like Khan did. This was also his first ever fight, which is different to having had 18 pro fights and being billed as a 'world class' fighter on the verge of greatness.

Margarito lost fights early, this is when he was about 15/16 years old. He lost decisions. He was never KO'd brutally or even stopped in any of those contests. Again he was not at the level Khan was supposed to be at before this fight.

Again, Vasquez was stopped not brutally KO'd. Again he was not anywhere near the level Khan was supposed to be and should of been at prior to this fight.

Marquez, again wasn't at the level Khan was supposed to be at, he was KO'd on his debut not after 18 pro fights, and lasted 8 rounds not 54 seconds against an experienced journeyman with a winning record.

Khan is going nowhere with that grade A china chin of his.

That's why he's gotten up every time he's been knocked down or hurt before this fight, right? Even in this fight he kept trying to get up after getting utterly brutalised. His chin is pathetic, but at least give him credit for having heart, Jesus.

If you want to see a true 'pampered' wuss, please look at Audley.

    P.S:

    Bringing race into it...silly.

Could not agree more, what his heritage has to do with his chin is beyond me, this is a very bad loss for him and it will show some real character to come back from. He was knocked out badly and the manner of the loss will have to raise some questions

Good point. His pampering and the money that he has already made could be or could have been the undoing of him

I don't see what is so hard to understand. The only reason Amir got knocked out was because he cannot take world class shots. Not because he is rich, but because if any top 20 lightweights in the world hit him on the chin with a hard enough shot, he'd hit the ground in an instant. Khan is finished.

Has there ever been a prospect came back from a 1 round ko.

    Mickey Walker. Max Schmeling.

There have been guys who were bombed out in an early fight and came back. Doesn't mean Khan will, though. It is not a good sign.
