I have never wanted a fighter to win so badly than with Morales last night

there are good young boxers coming through but Maidana is a crude slugger with fantastic power.

 

HUGE fan of EM, had it a draw after 10, but IMO felt he lost the last 2 round wich was the fight. There was some rounds that were very close and couldnv'e gone to one or the other fighter.

 

I only saw rounds 7-12... but I was hoping morales could have gotten the win. He tired a bit in the 11th and 12th. I had morales loosing the 11th but winning the 12th. He had Maidana hurt a bit before that I was hoping for a knockdown to get him a 10-8 round because from all the comments it was real close.


He surprised me, I was especially worried because this fight was only announced about late febuary or so. Morales was still soft and he has slowed a lot but his skills and timing are still there. He deserves a lot of credit given his age and the short time frame after the fight was announced. If maidana didnt plan well then that is on him, hes the younger guy, morales had the same amount of time to prepare as he did.

 

Agree with the OP. Besides the negativity in this thread, we can all agree that Morales put on a performance which reminds us just why he is a legendary boxer. I was screaming for him to win at some points, all at like 4:30am this morning. The only thing that could have made this a better fight would be for Morales to at some point put Maidana down, then I'da had to stand up to watch lol.

Me too, i want El Terible to win (I'm a Filipino) i want him to beat Maidana, but still good win for Maidana, respect for Morales
