If we could find the right, and by right I mean the right old, feisty and bad tempered grandma , and put her in with Wilder--(on one of her bad days) he is going to get KTFO.
I would say that Stiverne is not even remotely close to Povetkin to be honest. Stiverne was being outboxed by an ancient Ray Austin and Chris Arreola twice before catching them, and was a stylistic opposite of Povetkin. Stiverne's style was to lay back and draw an opponent in and then counter him, often against the ropes. A backward moving, short, slow footed heavyweight, who was extremely dehydrated to the point of being hospitalized for days afterward does not prepare Wilder for Povetkin.
Would you consider that Wilder would be just as likely to try to stay entirely away from Povetkin and hold him when he gets inside? That is what I'm thinking would be his strategy, but I like to hear other opinions.
Maybe at first, as Wilders frame is not made for inside fighting. But I do think Wilder is going to have to be more offensive and take risks if he wants to keep that title so I wouldn't be surprised if Wilder engages on the inside.
I don't think Wilder has the strength or experience to hold properly to utilize Povetkin's inside game. I think he'll have to stay on the outside, try to break Sasha's guard with his jab and then try to nail him with a straight right hand.
You obviously didn't hear what Povetkin did yesterday, which is why Wilder's team scammed out yet another voluntary defense for pud'n'tang Deontay. But, you keep on talkin' trash fo yo boi now.
He seems to dislike anything that's foreign as well, unless it's white. I find it hilarious how he plays it off like he's not some uneducated racist idiot, yet I've only seen him go ballistic when people have criticized boxers like GGG, or Wlad. I've never seen him bat an eye at someone criticizing a black, latino, or asian fighter.
You two are hilarious... Pot meet kettle. Everything you say about me can easily apply to you bud. I hate everything that's foreign, unless it's white? LOL.
I've never seen you ONCE defend a non-white boxer, or criticize GGG, Kovalev, Wlad etc. But I have seen you completely lose it when someone criticizes Wlad, Golovkin etc. Pot meet kettle? So you're saying that I've never criticized a black boxer, or defended a white boxer right .
Whatever, I'm not the one who goes around calling everyone I disagree with racist like you do. I just pointed out something that anyone with half a brain on this site knows, and you and your BF MVC! call me one. Hilarious.
