I have NO DOUBTS Wilder would Ko Povetkin!!!

Looks like Povetkin's team isn't ready this january and is ducking him anyways. Either way if they enforce it I hope Wilder drops his belt, I'd definitely respec that decision. Don't let someone who draws less than you, and who isn't the champ enforce where you want to fight. And yes I know how it works, hence I brought up dropping the belt like 50 times. Jesus some people have reading comprehension problems .

 

If Wilder dropped the belt instead of facing Sasha a lot of people would be crying "duck".

I wouldn't mind TOO much, because I want to see Povetkin / Wlad 2 with a better referee. That could be a super fight. I want to see Wlad pressured, and see if he remembers why he was fearsome in the old days

 

Just want to add that Povetkin was dumb to fight Wach instead of waiting maybe two months and facing Wilder for the belt. Now the schedules are all messed up.

 

99% of those are the same guys calling Wilder glass jawed bum etc. They're going to criticize him either way. Anyone who is fair or logical will understand why he dropped it.

 

I think you realize Wilder is reluctant to fight Povetkin and you're making excuses in case he drops the belt to avoid Sasha. It's not like robberies are an ocasional thing in Russia. When was the last time you saw one?

Or just click the Boxrec, check out Lennox', Vitali's, Wlad's, Ali's, Tyson's records and see all the places they fight. Because that's what champions do, they fight anywhere and they go to challenger's backyard if they have to. If Wilder vacants rather than taking the fight in Russia, sorry but It's a blatant duck. Which I don't think he will, so give the man some credit

 

Nope, I think wilder would definitely fight him if it was in the States. He draws more than Povetkin, and he's the champ. It's ridiculous that he should have to give anything up as the CHAMP, so anyone who is logical and reasonable would not call it a blatant duck.

Btw, Povetkin is clearly not a real champ by your standards. All he does is get other champs to fight him in his backyard when he's not the champ . What do you call someone that pathetic?

 

LOL, people call Wilder a bum because the best he's faced is a so-so condition Stiverne, and he's something like 35 fights into his career. If he dodges Povetkin it will just confirm their (our) suspicions.

That said, if he really does intend on dropping the belt, then he better line up a murderer's row at home, in order to show that his objection really was being forced to fight in Russia and not to fighting Povetkin because he thought he'd lose to a good fighter.

If he keeps fighting C / B level guys then it would be truly sad. I think he's better than that.

2) Golovkin can fight Chavez for big bucks, whereas Ward not so much. That's why the horsetrading in weight and splits. If Ward brought big cash, there wouldn't be so much wrangling.

 

I definitely agree with that. If he doesn't fight Jennings, Glaskov(who is a bum), Takam type guys he definitely deserves all the hate.

So-so condition Stiverne , man I'm not eveng oing to get into this. It's hilarious how no one wants to give Wilder any credit. All I have to say is the only reason he was dehydrated was because he had to follow Wilder around all night and miss and get hit. How does a HW who doesn't have to worry about making weight go itno a fight dehydrated . If he drops the belt like I said it's perfectly reasonable. If Povetkin agreed to fight him in America and he drops his belt I'll be the first to ditch him as a fan, just like I did to Quillin.

 

Chavez big bucks? He drew like 600k his last 2 fights . what big bucks? Ward drew 400k, which is terrible, but it was on BET and it's really not far off what Chavez did. 400k on BET is more impressive than 600k on showtime. He also offered some other no namer at 168 a fight, I forgot who it was, but someone mentioned it on TBV. He offered Froch, Chavez, and 2 or 1 other no namers a fight at 168 so that logic goes STRAIGHT out the window.

 

I still think you're ONLY making excuses for something that hasn't even happened yet but whatever. I don't that's what champions do.

 

So what is Povetkin though? A guy who I guarantee will never defend his belt at home, and will demand other champs to fight him in his backyard.

 

What does that have anything to do with the topic? Promoters decide where and when the fights take place, It's up to fighters to take it or not.

 

So are you telling me that Povetkin couldn't convince his promoters to let him fight in America, for more exposure, and to ensure a fight with Wilder?

I get the feeling that the Russians love Povetkin and are willing to pay to see him fight there. May not be logical, but if I were him I wouldn't be complaining.

But, like Anatolian says, it's not to say that Wilder dumps the belt. If he goes to Russia and KTFO's Povetkin that would be a huge statement. Not even Wlad managed that in that abortion of a fight.
