i dont know how you can debate this....Floyd should not have retired...his fault.

Again i dot rate ODLH or Hattons fights for Pac better than Floyds ESPECIALLY not ODLH....however you still have to give credit to where its due and ontop f that he gave us a 145 Cotto which is still a good fight but i'd rather the champ fight at his champioship weight...and then of course Clottey who is a solid talent but never elite seeing as how he hasnt beat any elite fighter.,,case an point his best wins were Zab and Diego....fighters Floyd doesnt get any credit for and he fought them in better forms....well except Zab Zab just is Zab.

Pac deserves fighter of the year noway around that but i still think these two resumes are a lot similar than some lead on to believe.

 Get over it loser, Manny won the award fair and square! Get it right up ye haha!!

Last I heard, Pac beat Hatton at Hatton's best weight, and Floyd outpointed a six months pregnant version of Marquez in a joke of a mismatch.

Manny has a better resume, better achievements, better career, better weight-jumping record, etc etc. He has been the FOTD, no question about it.

Why don't you ask the people who gave Pac the award.

So you're saying Mayweather's retirement cost him the fighter of the decade award.

Also I don't think there is any doubt that Mayweather beat better versions of De La Hoya and Hatton, even Freddie Roach thinks it.

The problem with this article is that it only includes negotiations from the mediation process while ignoring the fact Mayweather moved from the day before the fight to 14 days out in earlier negotiations while Pac didn't move at all.

Manny is simply the best pound for pound fighter that the decade saw. End of story. Manny > Floyd. Deal with it. No other fighter is even close, and all this "oh Floyd and Manny's resumes are almost the same" is serious delusional bull****.

Every time a Mayweather fan is trying to trash Manny's resume to try to elevate Floyd's it makes me laugh. Its become a daily ritual. Just demonstrates how much better Pacquiao really is.

You could spin all you want but both of their egos got in the way. They were trying to position themselves in getting an psychological advantage over one another.

Yes his retirement did, thats what happens when you dont fight. Even if he did fight theres no guarantee he wouldnt have lost the last 2 years.

I mean if I have 10-0 record, you have 8-0 record, I currently beat better fighters than you therefore I have better "legacy" than you, I retire for 5 years. I come back, Im still 10-0, you're 50-0 and have beaten 10 HOF'ers, you dont seriously think that I would still be ahead of you do you? Just assume I would have cruised to 52-0 and beat 12 HOF'ers in the proccess.

Such simple logic floydtoys cant grasp.

Freddie Roach also thinks Pac knocks Floyd out, do you agree with him? Hatton seems to think he's better at 140, performed much better at 140, no reason to think he was better at 147. Collazo & Mallinagi same level of fighters, Hatton anihilated Paulie at 140, controversial win over Collazo at 147.

Yea sure ODLH was better at 154, but Floyd wasnt jumping up 2 weight divisions. Why dont we see Floyd with a MW to see if its not a big achievement demolishing someone 2 weight classes above.

good points...Pac simply had better achievements than PBF this decade. Anyone not a Pac hater or a ***** will easily see this. Note that only one voted for Floyd while all the rest of the voting panel voted for Pac as fighter of the decade.

    waht better fighters???

    Cotto - thats it

    ODLH no

    Hatton - No

    CLottey over Mosley come on

When Floyd retired Pac beat Diaz, ODLH, Hatton...Floyd had already beat better versions of Hatton and ODLH....Manny jumped two divisions but what is worse people jumping divisions with his frame of body or killing yourself to make a damn weight.

    Diaz please

    Cotto only better fight

hmm. pbf retired for two years. did not fight a meaningful welterweight for how many years.

came back against jmm. a career featherweight.

and you guys want him to win as fotd? for what? beating hatton who was clearly undersized for that weight?

    beating dlh? via sd?

    baldo? castillo? zab?

Lazcano had him on ***** street but if I remember correctly Hatton didn't even hit the deck and won almost every round.
