Or it may be because Forbes was aggressive in short spurts and when he came at Oscar he came with more then one punch. If you watch the fight, it was combinations that were catching Oscar, when Forbes would open up the 1st and 2nd shots were caught on the gloves but the following ones got in. You are also assuming a decline between last year and this year, and ignoring the possibility that Floyds cautious first style in the first fight and lack of combination punching just didn't expose a diminished defense that was already there. He did hurt him. Forbes wasn't 130lbs on fight night, so his punch resistance is better. Also it's hard to hurt a fighter who is only being offensive in short spurts and for the most part being extremely defensive. Which is why Floyd rarely gets hit clean and hurt. Again though, you are assuming that this decline in power took place between last year and this year, but wasn't already there prior to him fight Floyd, but Floyds defensive style was all the explanation we needed for him not getting hurt. I agree, I don't think his stamina has improved. I actually agree with all of this. But it also backs up the claim that Oscar has lost significant stamina from the time of his prime until the time he fought Floyd the first time. Question #2 Does Oscars marked up face after the Forbes fight say anything about the amount of clean shots Forbes landed vs the amount Floyd landed? You have already stated Floyd has more power, so why was Oscar completely unscathed after the Floyd fight?
Pimp, You might be better off saving this post to just copy and paste in later as i'm sure this will come up 100+ more times before they actually get the fight on. By the way, I agree 100% if that wasnt obvious! :good
Dawson has nothing to do with this thread....thanks.:thumbsup Regardless of what you say, team Cotto has never made PBF an offer. Do you expect him to sit around and wait on Cotto to make an offer? Hell no. He's going to fight Oscar in the meantime and get another megapayday. Too bad your opinion is irrelavant because PBF is regarded as the P4P #1 boxer in the world and has been for the better part of 3 years, where have you been? Cotto isn't in his class nor has he done it long enough.
Currently, quite a few people regard the p4p No. 1 slot as VACANT!:yep Their number will grow!:deal You are welcome!:thumbsup
His face was more scarred in the Forbes fight because maybe Oscar's declining defense maybe that with Forbes landing more combos than PBF did. I can guarantee you that when the two meet in september Oscar's face will look worse than it did in their first meeting.:good With that said who said facial damage is any indication of who won a fight? Forbes put more facial damge on Oscar and lost PBF did less but gave him a boxing lesson. I still don't see why this topic is brought up for serious debate? Because it has little significance as to who actually won.
What those people think means nothing and isn't official, when it's officially announced then believe it. :smoke
Officially announed by WHOM? There is no authority that has the power to confer that title. I'm officially announcing it now, if that makes a difference to you! Here we go: I officially announce the p4p No.1 position is vacant. :huh
Why does one of the moderators, (scar), delete all my posts that I make about Floyd when I'm killin all the Floyd nut riders?
