Silva used his head for once and realises people are dangerous when fresh and he needs to not rush in. It was fun once upon a time but Silva is older now and his chin and recovery are not what they once were. He played it smart and as soon as Le lost his edge by getting tired and trying to be fancy then Silva pounced. Le showed he didn't learn **** from the Smith fight and the comeback occassion got to him again.
Silva has evolved, he isn't the young iron chinned monster who could stand in the ring and KO anyone who stood in front of him. Usually he went in hard hurt the guy and ended the fight pretty quickly, in this fight he had a strategy, waited for Le to attack and countered... it was rather strange to see Silva with a game plan.
Wanderlei has some of the strangest timing, and yeah watching him move backwards and look for spots rather than wade forward takes some getting used to. I thought Le did try to avoid standing in front of Silva, but as good as Le is, he is still a more defensive counter striker himself. He needs guys to stand in front of him or move forward rather than move away and avoid him in order to really do the sort of damage we are used to seeing.
