When Brook was rocked to the body in round 1 he was clearly hurt and in extreme pain due to Golovkin's power. But he fought back like a warrior. He tried to take Golovkin's head off, although the effort was futile. Regardless he never gave up on trying to win the fight and went out with pride.

In contrast Hopkins was dropped in round 1 by Kovalev's huge power. Then he ran away like a ***** and gave us a complete bull**** fight. He lost 12-0 because he did nothing but run away. Didn't try and win the fight. All he did was shoulder roll, survive and stick his tongue out while getting shutout.

Then he has the audacity to protest the stoppage in the Golovkin Brook fight. Nah, Brook went out on his shield. While Hopkins went out like a *****.

Hopkins should have never had that fight in the first place. He is 50 years old and still trying to get props from the young generation.

Nobody celebrates him still. Before that fight or after. He is jealous of Roy Jones Jr. and Mayweather success in and outside of the ring as far as celebrity . Plus nobody wants his autograph in Philly.

All that money and he never bothered to build a gym or hang a ****ing heavy bag. That's what I know for certain about Bernard Hopkins sellout

People give Mayweather crap for running. But Hopkins did more running in the Kovalev fight than Floyd did his entire career.

I personally enjoyed the fight. The best part was when Hopkins stuck out his tongue in the last round then Kova proceeds to beat the ever loving **** out of him.

It sure was a spectacle .

He was damn near 50 years old dude... He would have preformed a hell of a lot better had that been 8 years ago from that day.. He probably would have beat Kovalev. He did what he had to do to not get knocked out.

Hopkins was 49, went the distance with a monster. Brook quit and was destroyed within 5 rounds. Nobody cares for your respect you brit.

You are comparing what a prime Brook did to a nearly 50 yr old Hopkins. Kind of apples to oranges isn't it?

If you wanted to compare something relative you would of compared Brooks jump up in 2 weights to when Hopkins jumped up 2 weights. Only Hopkins beat the lineal Champ when he did it instead of quitting in 5 rounds.

Brook probably tried harder to win than Hopkins. I respect Hopkins greatly but I think he grew old in that fight and discovered hes no alien just a human (in remarkable shape for his age) but human none the less. He feared getting hurt more than Kel.
