Ive seen highlights but it looked to me that stylistically he chose to fight coming forward....If Roach thinks Floyd lost anything, why not take advantage as he did with Hatton, Cotto, and De La Hoya and get another win and take the damn blood test, **** or get off the pot

With the exception of the 2nd round where his legs were a lil shakey his legs look the same. His foot speed has declined a bit. But if you've been watching Floyd you already knew he lost some speed when he moved up from 140 to 147.

This 'legs' myth needs to end...Roach has really come up with rubbish. Floyd didn't look past his prime at all, he looked very sharp in there. He didn't move and box because he didn't need to -- you can tell that it was a concious decision on his part, because even after he got rocked badly he still came forward, boxing off the front foot. Also, at the end of his fight, when his stamina and legs should have been at their worst, I noticed that he was employing a bit more movement than beforehand, to coast the last round. (Need to double-check to make sure.) His legs are fine.

Honestly his decline in my eyes started after the Gatti fight, that was one of the worst beatings I have seen in my life for such a good fight.

Yeah he has slowed a bit as far as foot speed, but he has made up for it since moving up by employing better head movement, keeping his chin tucked when punches, and the older he gets the more he employs his shoulder roll ala James Toney, flat footed always ready to counter.

He is so smart that he economizes on movement and makes every punch count, a true tactician.

Agreed. Also his power is better now and now really EVERY shot counts. His opponents respect his power much more now than a while back.

His style is a bit different but he's just as dangerous now IMO.

Yes Gatti, I believe that was his last fight at 140. Floyd is the best all around fighter in the game.

I think what Floyd was doing was giving his version of a preview of how a fight with Manny would go. You know that they think that Manny cannot fight going backwards, and I do believe that Floyd would walk him down during the fight as he did Shane. So, that's what Roach better plan for.

Big Welters who started at 147 absorb his shots better. Baldomir had no respect for his power.

His power at 140 was a lil better then at 147 imo.. His power at 130 was his best. At 135 he broke his hands in almost every fight.

Yeah, I honestly think the time off helped him and he did it to heal up those hands, when you hit the pads and bags that fast sore hands are the norm.

Manny really cant fight backwards, or going forward pressing the fight he is a mid range fighter.

Floyd's legs were fine, its just a myth created by Roach. FMJ didn't have to move back or run too much in this fight like he did before. He decided to be an aggressive counter-puncher for this fight.

I agree...I am curious to see what Roach's game plan would be.

Floyd looked as sharp & good as he did vs Hatton & Marquez, when he had to move he had no trouble using his legs but he choose to fight Shane in a similar manner to which he fought Judah in 06 which means he used less leg movement or footwork.

Roach is just up to his usual bull****, I wouldnt worry about what he has to say.
