So you went to the circus. And now you're mad, crying for a refund just because the tightrope walker didn't light himself on fire, balance a running chainsaw on his head, and have people throw knives at him while he walks across the rope. That's the way I see you extreme haters. You're always raising the bar. Sure, there are fighters I hate but I still look forward to watching them fight because real boxing fans will always find something to enjoy even if it's minimal. MMA is right there waiting for you with open arms if you think Floyd has ruined boxing.

I agree with the OP. Floyd is the ultimate reluctant warrior. If you can get him in the ring, he has all the heart in the world. Getting him in with someone he perceives to be a challenge, now that's the hard part.

Floyd just tweeted that he's burning his money and killing himself because all he really wants is your approval.

    (just kidding. He didn't)

Yes but can you find 1million people who will pay $60-70 to watch Wlad fight someone who has no chance? Probably not.

I swear on anything, that's exactly what I was thinking about today. I was remembering Cotto saying this.

I agree, but I'm sure the comparison is towards other boxers, not people in general. He isn't as brave as other boxers, is the point here,

    Nonsense!!!

Lets not pretend here. For as talented and skillful as Mayweather is, as a boxing fan its frustrating that he shy's away from the challenges the fans want to see.

Fans wanted to see him fight Margarito after Magarito beatdown Cotto.
    They wanted the Pac fight.
A paul Williams fight would have been very intrigueing considering how big and tall Williams was.

There were ****ing matchups out there that were intigueing and would have tested Mayweather's mad skills.

Mayweather has shy'ed away from being tested properly and boxing fans have every reason to feel dissapointed they have'nt seen Mayweather's skill tested by opposition that could possible trouble him.

Mayweather will go down as the ultimate cherry picker. No if's, and's, or but's about it!

You're trippin. I never said this. I'm not asking May to go to WAR. That's not even his style. It's simple, certain fighters force you to fight a bit more than others. They take the fight to you. They are more of a THREAT to you health. May doesn't like this type of challenge. Castillo first fight is a perfect example. If he's that much better and doesn't need to go to war, then why didn't he make the fights in the past? Oh yeah, the promoters right? Just forget it.

    i'll say it again...

if you're the best boxer in the world, why would you compromise on how you fight when your opponents cant take you out of your zone?

floyd made "fights in the past"
he rematched castillo and adapted perfectly. its been his trademark ever since

He's saying that the issue IS the opponents.

Hypothetical wins don't exist in boxing. Alvarez is just the latest guy he would've beaten anyway.

And I give him credit for that. But you know what he learned? That he wasn't comfortable in that fight at ALL. Ever since, he also adapted to facing a certain fighter. A fighter that he doesn't consider a threat.
