ive been going over this fight in my head a lot and think the occasion will get to joe and he will play right into bhops plan and eat right hand counter shots all night.

With Hopkins workrate. eating right hand counter shots all night equates to about seven punches.

I doubt that will be enough.

Calzaghe wins this unless he makes a mistake, in which case Hopkins will school him.

Calzaghe is not Enzo. He will outwork Hopkins, but the judges belong to Hopkins, so does the referee.

I have my doubts about Hopkins in this one....

He is 43 years old and has only fought twice in the last two and a half years...

Age and inaction..... not to mention JC's speed and workrate will be Hopkins downfall.:deal

Hopkins wont get schooled. His too wise and smart for that. This guys knows every trick in the book. If this was 5 years ago it wouldnt have been close. But at Hops age and with his conservative punch output im not sure his going to be able to fight the full 12 minutes of every round. One thing is certain Hopkins has an excellent right counter on southpaws. If Joe eats a dozen of those he WILL get cautious and this could play into his hands.
But to be fair thats being optimisitc.

Yeah, that's exactly it for me.

Unless Hopkins can seriously ring Joe's bell, I simply don't think he's going to land enough shots to win this one. Joe will be far too busy.

when the fight was first made i was 100% for Calzaghe. Then the more i thought about it I realized that Hopkins would
    a) not have taken the fight if he didn't have a game plan for how to beat Joe
    b) is one of the best ever at spoiling and making guys fight the wrong fight

also i felt that Enzo Macceranelli did not train properly for the time differenence. I really hope that Joe goes out to the states at least 3 weeks before the fight.

However Calzaghe is world class, so its a 50-50 fight.

The Kessler fight was at 2am and Calzaghe did OK in that. I know Enzo looked like he'd just got out of bed on Saturday night but, other than that, theres not a great deal of evidence that the time had much to do with him getting KO'd or that he didn't prepare properly for it.

Enzo kinda always looks like he's gotten out of bed. That guy is a shining icon of bed hair and stubble.
