If Floyd is so flawless, how did Castillo beat him? How did a far poorer version of Oscar to the version who lost to Shane Mosley manage to take him to an SD? Yes Floyd has nice skills, but he is far from unbeatable. Pac has the speed, explosiveness and punch variety to terrorize Mayweather, and Mayweather knows it, otherwise he would've found his urge and signed the fight already! atsch
Cotto got brutally Ko'd a little more than year before he fought Pac.De La Hoya at 145 sigh that's serious business bro...Margarito got smoked in 8 rounds by Mosley after getting caught trying to use plaster. Yes we've never seen such things before. He lets them kill eachother, fights them after they are coming off horrible performances. Get real. I find it funny how one of his awe inspiring performances didn't show up against Marquez 9 months before he fought DLH.
And geniuses are often dismissed by the traditionalists/fundamentalists. So according to you Pac is a genius?
Do you know what 'KO' means? :huh Cotto's corner pulled him out due to plaster-related injuries. He wasn't KO'd nor even close to it.
Terrible comparison.... Comparing PAC and what he's done to the avg boy bands guitarist getting OVERHYPED and then exposed doesn't do what PAC has done in making history in this sport justice. Sure Floyd is a technical guy...very skilled but Floyd lacks qualities that has brought PAC to greatness. BOTH men have certian attributes that have to be accredited to their stellar careers...but to try and say that Floyd is simply better than PAC based on his skills is completely wrong. It's amazing how a few folks are so blind in love with Floyd's mystique that they can't see why the vast majority see this fight for exactly what it is. Competitive and necessary based on the styles and accomplishiments of both men.
no such thing as talent, look at every cross over star in any sport, they just work harder and have done since they were very young. pac isn't as skilled cos he started late but he works harder and thats what makes a champion. physical gifts help but skill is the result of hard work
There are plenty of 'insiders' that like Pac, and some of them even pick him to beat Floyd. You can see interviews on YT of fighters and coaches in boxing gyms talking about their opinions on Pac and Floyd, and a lot of them appreciate Pac just as much as Floyd. The truth is that while Pac has a much more friendly style for the general public, he's also very respectable even by hardcore boxing fans. It reminds me of Muhammad Ali -- even a lot of Classic posters admit that he could be the greatest heavyweight of all time. (Some of them pick Louis instead, but Ali is nearly always up there.) Pac is in a similar situation in that he has the respect of the 'insiders' as well as the general public. Some fighters just do that. You've set Floyd up as the unappreciated tragic hero of the sport, and while it's true that he has a beautiful style/skillset/etc that the general public normally don't appreciate much, it doesn't automatically make him the 'insider' favourite.
Allen green cant buy a win in the super six Paul Williams is all hype and should remain at 147 (Martinez can make 154 cleanly) Oscar cannot beat bernard at any weight hes a 40 year old mayweather he is just better Cotto always was all hype Pac gets my respect if he beats mosley or berto until then he drained everyone for the win and only fought clottey at his true weight *****
Pac has been doing this forever, I havent seen him fight before the barerra fight but I have read around here he has been a pro since he was 16, He has been a professional fighter longer then mayweather thats why he has so many wins, I think Barerra started at 16 too
Floyd is undefeated and elite and is great. But even the greatest have a weakness. Boxing genius or not the man is still human
