I honestly think Roy won rounds 1,2,5 and 6

To my mind, calzaghe, while being the aggressor, was landing for the most part on roy's gloves. Meanwhile, roy was landing nice straight right-hand leads right down the pipe, good quick left hooks to the face, and one hellacious uppercut near the end of the 6th.

The fight really wasn't that much of a whitewash as it's being made out to be. And for those who think Roy was pretty close to prime in this fight, shame on you. Anyone who thinks Roy would stand there and let someone feint his way in face-first, hands dropped at his sides, has obviously never watched a prime RJJ operate.

Oh yeah, because he opened up a massive cut on Calzaghe didn't he

Apart from the forearm in the first round, he didn't particularly land anything else of note.

No doubt Calzaghe won the fight, but it wasn't the one-sided beatdown so many were fulminating about. Roy's workrate is dreadful, but what offense he DID mount gives you some indication of how successful he would have been in his prime.

He landed plenty of hard shots throughout the early rounds. You were obviously more intent on looking at Joe's windmills to notice.

He is serious. Jones was landing the right hand seemingly at will in the early rounds. The commentary even discusses it as such.
