Lol, Mayweather fans' next Great Black Hope

If you're waiting to see Manny lose so your boy can reclaim the P4P #1, it ain't happening May 14.

Your best bet would be for your boy to man up and try to earn that right againt Pac in the ring. To bad that's never gonna happen eh

Pac is a great, great fighter. But even Robinson lost, even Ali lost. An they didn't necessarily lose to the most elite of elite.

A lot of fans are looking at what Pac has done against other fighters with other styles to determine what Pac will do to Clottey. I remember on this very forum people were talking about how Clottey's guard couldn't defend against Cotto's body attack. What happened in that fight? Please watch Clottey fights, not one at least his last 4-5 fights, then you'll get an idea of how he fights. His defense is extremely good, very few punches ever land cleanly on him, the entire fight with almost every type of fighter: volume puncher, fast puncher, power puncher, orthodox, southpaw or any combination of these. Margarito threw more than 1600 punches at Clottey and couldn't get through the guard to hurt him. Margarito(volume+power), Judah(speed+power), Cotto(power) couldn't get through the guard, and you believe Pac will have an overwhelming success? Before Pac, Cotto had been hurt and rocked in many, many fights, same for Hatton and de la Hoya. Clottey has never been rocked or hurt in any fight against any type of opponent.

Clottey has all the tools to defeat Pac convincingly. He has adequate hand speed, very technically astute, a sharp right hand, a very good counter puncher, good combination puncher, very good timing, very accurate puncher, a solid chin and a tight defense(to both body and head). Watch his fights don't just look at a still picture of him with his guard.

Let's put the Cotto fight in perspective. Clottey outlanded Cotto in most of the rounds, like 8-4. Let me illustrate, round 10 that Clottey was supposedly out of gas, Clottey outlanded Cotto 19-7. Please watch the stats from the fight, round by round, before you comment. Don't generalise.

Clottey-Judah wasn't even close. Don't look at the biased score cards. Watch the fight. Judah quit because he was taking a hell of a beating and nothing he was doing was working. He couldn't land one significant punch the entire fight. Infact, in the 9th and final round, halfway through the round his punch count was 2/6 and those were jabs, Clottey's were 9/28 and most were power shots.

Pac has very distinct advantages (foot and hand speed) that can lead him to victory but he has to be at his best. Clottey is no walk in the Pac, Clottey is a much harder fight than Cotto, Hatton, de la Hoya put together. Clottey is bigger, harder hitting, longer reach Marquez with a tight defense.

    Clottey has lost 3 times.
    1. Once on disqualification in a fight he was easily winning against later lineal champ Baldomir.
    2. Against the former 'man' Margarito, a fight he was easily outclassing Margarito before injuries to his hands. Even then it was a very close fight if the fight is scored properly.
    3. Against Cotto in a fight he clearly and significantly outlanded Cotto and dominated Cotto over long periods of the fight.

What does that tell you? In his own mind he is an unbeaten fighter. His own mind because that is what counts in his physce. He has no doubt about his own ability to beat any fighter no matter how fast or powerful or popular.

Pac has also lost thrice and there's no dispute in anyone's mind about those loses. Infact his two fights with Marquez are considered as questionable by some people.

Even though Pac is great, don't overrate him and even though Clottey is not great don't underrate him either. This is a hard fight for both, especially Pac and we should commend Pac for taking this fight(even if he loses).

Mayweather fans??? I stopped reading there.

Why do people assume you have to be a diehard Floydboy or a diehard Pac-****???

    You dumb piece of ****.

You are so obsessed with Floyd that you can't stay off his nuts. I don't give a **** about Floyd getting some P4P status. Floyd isn't even my 1st, 2nd, or 3rd favorite welterweight.

You dumb-ass ****. Look at my post history, or even look at my pic inside my profile. You stupid hoe. I'm pullng for Clottey and Shane both, as a matter of fact. So shut the **** up
