Degale doesn't need froch....degale could happily fight on the usa.....in all honesty I dony want to see the fight. ...froch ggg or no froch at all personally
Froch seems like the type of person that just says things because he enjoys his words being headlines. Wouldn't surprise me if he just said he wants Degale - so he could feel important - with it being a top 5 sports news story on a slow news day.
Plus degale will unify against jack. ....or against martin Murray if he wins...which I doubt. .....and haymon is a god....in money terms. ....selby degale. ...hes coming for joshua and brook aswell..hence pbc uk link up......like degale said....eddie can earn him 600k to fight domestic. ...or haymon can earn hom 4m plus dollars against a shot ex world champ......so you telling me that haymon cant ask for LEAST 8m against froch. .....
If he turns down a fight with Froch, he'll forever be defined by it. He'd earn a career high payday in a big domestic blockbuster the public would like to see. The only people who don't want to see it are Degale fanboys, who are worried that Chunky will get lit up if they ever step in the ring together. They've been talking all sorts of nonsense about how Froch was afraid of him and ran off into retirement and how Degale is now the top dog at 168 following Wards departure for 175 that they're now bricking it at the thought of being Cobra'd. Again, I'm saying this as someone who finds Carl annoying. I wouldn't care who won out of him and Degale and wouldn't totally write James off. It's just funny how his fans clearly don't want it. They'd apparently rather see him in with Badou Jack.
You think Degale, Jack, Groves, Smith want it with GGG? Golovkin has to stay and unify 160 now or forever be accused of refusing to move up earlier because he was afraid to fight Ward. You're not making any sense.
No it won't. After calling Froch out for that long? It will look more like if Khan now suddenly began sniffing around Brook and Brook told him to ram it.
There's still no bigger fight for DeGale than Froch. The real stumbling block would be the purse split, with DeGale now being the world champion.
I don't see what's changed that much that Degale now holds a belt which he didn't win off of the previous incumbent champion Froch. Froch still brings the interest, money and prestige in this fight whether Degale fans like it or not. Brook would also be a fool to tell Khan to 'ram it' if he ever actually stepped up to fight him as the money would still be good, even if Amir isn't quite as big a ticket seller/draw in the UK.
Point is DeGale and Brook have both come into their own and no longer need to build their names off Froch or Khan respectively. Sure, they represent nice paydays and more perhaps than either of them might find elsewhere, but for the stars now to be given a taste of their own is a fitting comeuppance after balking at match-ups they now conveniently seem to want having faded a bit in relevance themselves while DeGale & Brook have elevated their stock.
If Froch comes back for Degale he will lose. Froch is just talking sh!t for the headlines. He did to Degale what Calzaghe did to him ... ... but the difference is Froch didn't shut up about it for years. It seems Froch is trying to get Degale to start talking about him again. He hates the idea that Degale might not be that obssessed with him, so he gets obssessed about Degale. Froch is a bit of a weirdo.
Degale isnt tough enough and does dig hard enough to keep Froch off him. He might be winning after 5 or 6 rounds but he doesnt carry the power to hurt Carl and eventually he will get trapped beat up and stopped. James should avoid Froch now he doesnt have to box him, however I think him and Jimmy Mac fancy it but in my opinion they would be making a massive mistake.
