What made Holyfield great is letting him down now. Plus it's just this vicious cycle in boxing of great fighters ending up broke and going on too long. It's sickening! The main problem is boxing unlike other sports there's always someone willing to put you on their show and use your name. In football you have no choice, when you're washed up you'll just get cut and won't make the team. In boxing a promoter will put a spin on the faded legend and he gets beat up or hurt. At least Holyfield is not facing younger guys who would abuse him, but like DamonD says, you just now he won't be happy just facing these guys of similar age. It wouldn't be so bad if these former greats were just taking fights they wouldn't get hurt or embarrased in. Roy Jones could go on for as long as he wants if he was facing a Lacy everytime, unfortunately that's not the case.
