I hope Marquez is planning on getting back in the ring soon enough.

I don't wanna see this guy inactive and out of shape! He can still trim down to 135 and be a major force.

Agreed. Fights with him involving either Soto, Valero, or Katsidis are some i really look foward too.

The time to trim down to 135 and be a major force was before signing on to challenge Floyd.

I love JMM...but my gut tells me he's already cashed out (mentally as well as practically). :verysad

I would love to see Marquez vs Hatton in the U.K. I would probably even go to the event. Would be a great fight but i see Marquez winning by TKO or UD. I think there styles would make for an interesting fight!

He is 36, very old for a little guy. It's a wonder that he is still doing what he's doing at his age. If he decided to hang them up, I would not be upset.

Would love to see him against Valero i think the clash of styles would produce a great fight.

Nacho is not too happy with GBP at the moment.

    .....................
Is GBP to Mexicans what DKP is to African Americans?

"Once he beats Marquez.." were the words of Golden CEO Sir Vrichard Schaefer to ***********.com as it related to Golden Boy's newest acquisition Amir Khan's proposed fight with future hall of famer Juan Manuel Marquez. Golden Boy was supposed to be representing Marquez too, but the CEO spoke as if a Marquez loss was a foregone conclusion. It didn't take long for Marquez rep Nacho Beristain to express his displeasure over being treated like a "stepping stone."

If he doesn't like being used as a stepping stone, he should just win the fight and prove otherwise.

JMM does need to get back in the ring.

I want him to get the Hatton fight because i like watching Hatton go unconcious and also because it would give JMM a big payday.

Then he can hopefully try to pick up a title at 140.

Then he can just retire and enjoy all the money he has made.

In a way, Marquez is delusional. Whatever gave him the idea that he could go up 2 div. and compete with bigger guys... on top of that, he also got screwed in the process.
