170 is clearly way too much for him, and there are no interesting fights at 145 really. McGregor has not to gain from beating Aldo again. I dont think he'll be as dominate at 155, but he'd definitely hurt those guys far more than he did Nate.
After tonight's performance, especially in the first round, I think he can put away some of the top guys. He has a real chance fighting for the belt.
You mean move down... 155 is McGregor's division. He's too small for 170. He's going to do better than most people expect at 155. After these 2 fights, he's gained so much experience at fighting these bigger guys.
I think he would have beaten RDA... And moving up to 155 and challenging Alvarez for the 155 belt gives him a chance to make history. 3rd UFC fighter to win belts in multiple weight classes, and the 1st of the modern era.
He's a 145er who moved up to 155 to challenge RDA for his strap... Fight only took place at 170 because Diaz took the fight on short notice. Rematch was only held there due to bravado. He's not a 170 lb fighter.
I think he will really struggle with many of the top 10 at 155. Nate Diaz is only a fringe top 10 155 lber imo and Conor really struggled to be honest. I see Conor winning some and losing some at 155 and won't win the title at 155 if he actually has to win a couple of top 5 fights first before a title shot but we all know he will be gifted a title shot at 155 rather than earning it.
Im glad RDA pulled out, the second nate fight was one of the best UFC fights I've ever seen besides Lawler/MacDonald.
He's the 145 champ, so I'm saying is I want him to vacate and move up to 155. So no, I meant move up.
**** He's gonna steamroll 155 guys. If mcgregor can time Diaz over to top and hit him on the button and drop him what do you think that punch is gonna do to anyone at 155? Rda? That guys wide open. He's flat out wild. Alvarez exposed what we knew all along. Fergusson? Guy doesn't have the defense. That wild striking style won't do **** against mcgregor. The only fighter I feel that would be a tough match for mcgregor is Khabib. Khabib can just forget it though. The ufc isn't giving him a shot. No money in it.
Nate Diaz is a huge guy. He barely makes 155. He's struggled for awhile now. Against rda he was 160. Plus anyway, if you think that Diaz would last at 155 your wrong. 155 he won't be anywhere near as durable.
