Hearn said Teper in March for the EBU and then world title in the summer.

I think this is way too quick. It's not about ability or how easy he's stopping fighters. If it was then Lomachencko would have wiped the floor with Salido.

He need experiences, not just fighting slightly better opponents or going through the rankings, or even getong rounds. He need to learn the pro game, the little tricks and moves an experienced fighter knows, learn how fights develop, adapting his game, coming up against controversy, coming back from adversity, learning that sometimes things don't go the way you want and that you have to dig deep. He can't goninto every fight expected to win. The Dillian Whyte fight will help him develop a lot as a fighter vit he need lots more tough fights. The provide fear and winning gives so much confidence. You are putting it all on the line and coming through takes dedication and discipline. It silences demons and should provide opportunties to go through some of the experiences I listed above.

Either way Id say 5 fights next year the look to hit it in 2017 after 20-23 fights.

Learn the pro game? If he doesn't get stepped up he will end up hurting somebody!

How is he going to learn all these wee tricks if he doesn't get stepped up to people at the level of Teper pretty quickly. Do you really think the Dillian Whyte fight will benefit him in that sort of way? The only benefits that will have to him are in his bank account.

    Joshua needs stepped up, pronto.

Na i think he will be in a wordl title fight early 2017 at the lastest Beachie . Is Teper much of an increase from Whyte ? Whyte and Chisora aint that far apart IMO I dont see much difference in Teper and Whyte, still a step up yeah but not by much.

I asked this yesterday does Fury still hold the British title ?! if so will he be vacating it ? if he does the Whyte / Joshua fight could then be for a vacant British. If it is, then have Joshua defend that once, take on Teper win the euro defend that once then step up for world honours be that Povetkin or Wilder.

Stuff like that can be picked up in sparring Joshua should be gettin the hardest sparring he can to learn all this as it wont come in these fights just now at all.

Whyte will benefit him. Not just physical improving him but more mentally.

I didn't say he should t fight Teper. He should. I said world titles should wait.

Yeah there's stepping up and there's just going straight to the top.

I just don't want him in there with Klit or Wilder in the summer before he's developed.

There's a lot more to developing a fighter than just doing the route of British, Euro, World.

Im 95% sure the British is vacant at the moment and that Joshua said on an iFL interview that his fight against Whyte will be for the title.

Sorry must have misread your original post.

Re Whyte though, we saw on Saturday just how bad DW movement is and how easy he is to hit... Fair enough the build up will be an experience for him, but the fight itself will be over within 3 rounds.

I would say that Whyte is quite a bit better than Teper personally.

I watched the Whyte Minto fight last night there and to be honest he has brushed his technique up a little ... he has straightned his right hand out a fair bit but was very predictable with it. Didnt see much of the looping left hand (that can be very wide) tho to be fair as he said he was carrying a shoulder injury. If he is as open as that against Joshue tho its lights out very early IMO
