I'm absolutely thrilled that Holyfield lost a lopsided decision. This was the only way someone as pig headed & dangerously close to further injuring himself in the ring as Holyfield is can understand that their time is up & that they need to move on.

All of you who were on the Holyfield bandwagon (especially ESB's writers) should be ashamed of yourselves for encouraging a fighter who is a shell of his former self to put his life & health at risk at this way-past-it stage of his career. You know he didn't deserve to be in there. You know that he had no legitimate chance. You know that all he was doing was putting his brain through more ringers. And yet you still cheered him on.

Congrats Sultan. It's a shame you had to start your legacy on the broken bones & withered spirit of former contender w/ delusions of grandeur.

I don´t think it is a matter of boxing fans being sadists, but rather Holyfield being a masochist.

holy needs a beating before he retires, i think iggy took it easy on him to be honest.i donk think he wanted to hurt him, but if holy did go all the way then he did good.only cause i thought he was going to be out by 7 and he was not even close.

but holy wants to be champ who can he beat, his best chance was oleg but he had to face peter.but u no wat happen there, holy will have to get stoped badly bfore he retires thats the only way or become undisputed hw champ which ever comes 1st !

I hate the people who criticize Holyfield under the false pretense that they care about his health. Holyfield is a warrior. If he was born in the battlefield he would still be in the frontlines. To a man like Holyfield, health is second to glory. To the fight. To the thrill of battle. And we should support him in his pursuit of happiness. Besides, it's not his fault that Ibragimov ran away from Holy like he owed him money.

IT IS his fault though that he took an undeserved title shot based on his glory long gone. IT IS his fault that he couldn't catch up to Ibragimov all day. And it is his fault he's been a cheater and a phony.

and guess what.... a percentage of the "NORMAL" and typical population will ALSO have alzheimers by the time they are 60...and they don't even fight.....many americans will be dead by the time they are 60 so who are you or anyone else to say evander should not do what he LOVES doing? the guy lives for GOALS...personal goals that include BOXING.... it is his life.

You wanna fight for a cause??? Go fight for the Miners of america to stop what they are doing because they can end up with lung disease or dead at any time in their carreer..... But you won't so don't get all over Evander.

God bless the guy...maybe some guys in their 40's will be motivated to go try and run half a block and lose ten pounds so that they can live long enough to see their grandkids, but you aint fighting that cause, are you?

So are you then saying that Evander is not better than 90% of the WORLD heavyweight current population???? Listen to your self.... You must not be a fighter because you would know that there are sooo many 30 year olds that can only WISH to be as good as Evander was today....W I S H ...but they know they never will, YET they will compete tomorrow.

He's still going to fight unfortunately

  12. Well let him keep on fighting until he's 50 and eventually he will end up in a coma he's DAMN lucky he wasn;t in the ring with Wlad, and a steriod cheater is a cheater bottom line it makes me happy when they all lose or get busted:good.I propose a new sports rule 1st time offenders that are busted for roids are banned for life, Marion jones, Ken Caminiti, Lyle Alzado, Jason Giambi, and Chris Beniot the wrestler, it all came back to bite them in the as$..

It's a shame Mike Tyson was TKOed by Holyfield when most expected him to be Great and almost got banned from boxing in their second fight. Took a beating from Lewis, Williams and McBride and his legend died and was buried long ago... Ever since, this dumb ass is broke and on dope, has danced in Bollywood movies, assaulted women again, is doing rehab for maniac depression and possibly will kill himself for good. Congrats.

6 or 7 years go , Holyfield was already losing against RUIZ...

Sorry but as "mediocre" as Iggy is...He certainly is better than any versions of Ruiz.
