Don't do it, its aload of crap anyway. Play some basketball, or join a local track and feild club. And train with the 800m middle distance athlete's, and sprinters for a mix up.
Plain running blows, you have to make it at least a little bit specific to boxing by changing directions a lot. In that regard any sport that has a game element would do. Play soccer, or as Mr Kool said basketball, or tennis, or whatever.
Basketball. Your working on your cardio, speed, agility....all in one. I remember Roy Jones used to play basketball allot during one of his trainning camps, he's not that much of a road runner.
It got to be done. Sugar Ray Leonard ran 5 miles a day because he wanted that gold medal and he got it.
Me too man, my knee is ****ed, you better not take your ability to run for granted and hit that track! Or road. or trail.
If you hate it then do it, mental benefits. Short, fast distance is what I prefer. Listen to music or run with a friend.
