If it was ineffective aggression then how did he control the fight second half and tire Hopkins out with the pace? Hopkins obviously was effected after the first couple of rounds by the pressure.

After watching the fight a second time more closely, I saw Hopkins landed many shots on the inside during clinches. He didn't land as many lead rights as expected due to Joe going into "awkward mode". But the flashier punches clearly was not where Bhop was scoring. Look at the body shots during clinches. Time after time when I saw hopkins land those inside shots, NO REACTION by anyone. Flash won over inside subtleties.

Calzaghe won the fight, no doubt within my mind at all.

Joe came to Hopkins' home turf and fought him. Joe has his first fight at 175 and his first fight in US. Rematch in Wales?

Hopkins gave an excellent imitation of Ruiz though, faking the effects of low blows, punch and grab, leading with his head and Hopkins landed two low blows in a row!

It's sad to see but unfortunately that's all the old dog has left.
