I'll have a look at the YouTube video and re read your post in the morning. Thanks, good tips, I do have a bench, done them for best part of two decades, didn't know that was detrimental!
Freestand were design for convenience. They can be placed anywhere. 300lb bag needs a sturdy beam for you to hang from.
This is why I bought it. Ideally wanted a hanging bag. Seemed too risky screwing into beams. It's due to be here Thursday
Oh mate I have to stay away from those things after I (also pissed) wiped out a passing waiter with a right hook, obviously cos I'd missed the bag COMPLETELY my form was off and I crushed my fingers between his face and the palm of my hand. 3 broken fingers makes you question your punch technique
There are other bags that can be used for uppercuts, like those ones you mount flush on the wall with pads or an aquabag which is like a teardrop shape This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
I think I missed this, very funny indeed! No good punching when fueled by booze! Took months for my cartlidge to get better. I'm going to put a new post in a minute about the bag.....
The bag arrived days early. I assembled yesterday, after restarting twice! Anyway, filled the base with 70 litres of water which is around 176 pounds. I have been strengthening my wrists to prepare. Had a go after weights, the bag is filled with shredded fabric, good to punch, I was pleasently surprised. Threw a few heavy ones and was starting to feel it in my wrists (as expected), the gloves that came with the bag are comfy, like them. Short bag session. I will continue strengthening my wrists and having a go on the bag. May fill with iron sand eventually, depends if my punch gets harder. So, in conclusion, seems OK to me so far.
