Here we go with the avoiding stuff again. I thought it was made perfectly clear that Arum has made no attempt to match Cotto with Floyd. Who else is supposedly calling him out?
Mosely is easier to hit, but it evens out because Mosely's chin has been steel otherwise. Floyd has a better defence, but is at many disadvantages stylistically and size against Forrest and Forrest will land a bomb on him just he landed on Mosely at some point and Floyd has never shown the type of chin needed to take it, judging on the few times that a decent hitter has landed on him flush, like Judah. DLH didn't land anything of note fully sat down on flush on Floyd, he landed some half power blows and some glancing blows here and there though. And DLH is not a bigger puncher than Forrest, Forrest's right hand when fully sat down on is a sledgehammer of a punch.
I will completely ignore the head up Floyd's ass comment and ask you 1 simple question. Who the **** has Forrest ever beaten at 147 other than Shane? Hatton controlled the pace? Wow! Bob Arum doesn't even think Cotto can beat him right now or he'd be trying to make the match.
Well, what's wrong with Floyd calling out Cotto. Or Williams. Or Margo. Or even ****ing Clottey? Look, the biggest, hardest fights are at 147, yes? And yet he's fighting DLH again in another ****ing glorified sparring session in a fight most people couldn't give a toss about. He's been at welterweight for 2 years now and he's got a hell of a lot to prove there.
all you do is bring up the judah fight...truth is that was a great performance by mayweather. Judah is a frontrunner, and Mayweather dominated after round 4. Judah wouldve been kayoed IMO if he hadnt landed that flagrant low blow and punch to the back of the head.
Trinidad, Hearns, Leonard, and Duran at 147 are guys that from 147 to 154 might be able to KO Floyd. I think Hearns definitely would though out of all those.
Everyone has been stunned at 1 point or another. That doesn't mean they don't have a good chin. The only physical advantage Forrest has over Floyd is height and punching power. He only has a 1 inch reach advantage and is much slower than Floyd. He said he'd beat the dog **** out of several people but did he mention Floyd? Correct me if I'm wrong but I didnt hear Floyd's name in those quotes.
Because we have comparable opposition. Prime Mosely, how does he do against Hatton, Cotto and the rest of this overrated lot now? I think he wins. Hatton did control the pace with pressure, if you want to argue that than just sign off. Mayweather initially wanted to just pot shot and move like he did against Baldomir and DLH, but Hatton's quick feet and pressure made the fight ugly and controlled the pace of the fight, forcing Mayweather to adapt. A prime Shane Mosely... he'd ice little Ricky in 3 rounds. Probably even now. It wasn't an impressive win, it only showed his vulnerability to pressure even more so and how he's declined since reaching 147. And lastly, what does 'who did he beat at 147 aside from Mosely' have to do with ANYTHING regarding his level of ability and how he'd do against the 147 version of Floyd Mayweather that is so VASTLY overrated? - Nothing, but nice try.
Much slower? You talk as if Floyd is quick-silver at 147. HE'S NOT!!!! Judah was quicker than he is and Forrest's speed was certainly similar.
Since when does the champion call people out? If he did that ya'll would still say he's picking and choosing.
Forrest at 147 is slower than Floyd at 147? Not by much little guy, and he has the timing and style to take Floyd's head of and control the pace. Nothing Floyd does would work against Forrest. Forrest is stylistically a nightmare for him, one of the worst possible, just as bad as he was for Mosely and due to the size advantage, probably more so. It's very difficult to outbox Forrest and Floyd's 147 status is not showing any indication that he could. Now guys like Hearns, Leonard, Duran and the rest, they'd all tool Forrest and Mosely and DLH, but the fact stands that the former Welterweight crop, is much, much better than the current set of guys that Floyd won't even touch!:yep
What vulnerability to what pressure? If following somebody around and eating punches is what you call controlling the pace then maybe Hatton shouldn't have controlled the pace. Of course prime Shane destroys Hatton but the Cotto fight would be very similar. I'm not gonna say he would just walk through Cotto. Forrest is overrated at 47 and 54 if you wanna talk about overrated. All he ever did was beat Shane. He got destroyed by Mayorga and a gift against Quartey. Hardly impressive at all. Did you even know who he was before he beat Shane? Floyd's resume at 147 is not impressive and I'll be the 1st to tell you that. The difference is that is not his prime weight but it is for Forrest and Forrest still has an unimpressive resume himself. Even at 147 and well above his prime weight none of these clowns today will beat Floyd.
