Why u ignoring the last 40 second in which chavez had a chance to finish martinez but couldnt cause martinez fought back and got the better of it? Why are u and the rest of the ppl ignoring it?

There's a lot of potential. Hopefully GBP takes the training wheels off Alvarez. The others have shown they want big fights.

Good point. Maybe the weight cut is already getting to him gradually.

Because it was only 40 seconds. Had the bigger, younger man really forced the action earlier.....

Oh man enough with the "what if" bs because look after martinez got up from the knockdown, chavez had 40 seconds left to finish martinez in which martinez not only didnt run or hold for dear life, but chavez couldnt cause martinez not only fought back but he got better of the punches trade. Ppl are ignoring the true facts. "If" lol shut up.

No one is ignoring anything. Logic dictates that both men were tired. Jr's face was battered and he was simply letting his hands truly go for the first time in that fight. He was still catching Martinez flush as the round ended, but it was too little too late. Martinez fought back, but they were literally arm punches. But as I said, my response was only intended if you were open to reasoning.

Martinez didnt f4cking run and didnt hold for those 40 seconds. If martinez was soo out of it and other bs then why couldnt chavez finish it? I'll tell you the answer because martinez fought back strong and got the better of it. You ppl are way over excited because of a freaking knockdown lol. Come on.

Maravilla tapped that ass really good! He schooled Junior for 11 rounds... Junior was way bigger and he still got his ass whooped! :deal

The only reason they are clamoring for a rematch is because of the 12th round. The promoters made a shitload of money with Chavez getting 3 mil and Martinez getting 1.5 of course Dibella wants a rematch, its the most money he can get off of a fight outside of fighting floyd mayweather.

If it was arm punches then dont u think Chavez could have walk right through it since chavez have an iron chin? And OMFG!! Listen the reason chavez finally let his hands go in the 12th round because he has no f4cking choice. Its called "Go for broke. Let it all hang out" Alot of fighters from past, present have let it all hang out in the 12th round after getting an a$$ whooping. Chavez just couldnt finish martinez and got his a$$ whooped for the 11 rounds. There's no "if", "buts". Damn 1 freaking knockdown and everybody is crying for a rematch my goodness.

The only person getting excitable here is you. I gave you the logic behind why people would call for a rematch and how it could be validated. If you don't agree, then that's on you. You're the one that started this thread.

If you were Chavez, his promoter, or his manager,'would you want a rematch????

My prediction is he will take some time off, then come back at a different weight class, maybe taking "in-house" Top Rank hand-selected opponents and will fight the remainder of his career in Texas, alternating between the various venues.

40 seconds?? Martinez was knocked down with 1:23 remaining.

Martinez would beat up Chavez even worse. Martinez arrogance almost cost him last night, he'll toy with Chavez the next time once again.
