You got that part wrong.

The ref called to low immediately and ordered a five minute rest break as per the rules.

Well before the five minutes were up, Usyk indicated he was ready to continue, but the ref insisted he take some more time.

It was NOT a case of Usyk milking it.

 

Of course he’d have got up. What exactly in his boxing career has led anyone to think “oh, this guy won’t/can’t do THAT thing?” After all he’s done, y’all think he can’t get up from being hurt and protect himself for the rest of the round?

 

The shot was low. Navel is the rule.

Important thing you missed: his 'acting' is irrelevant, did you see how quickly the ref called it a low blow? Usyk didn't even reach the ground.

A reaction to a punch to the body looks different. I've seen enough of both to feel confident in this evaluation.

And: his 'nuts' were very likely affected by the punch driving upwards and taking the low guard with it, squeezing the nuts. It is common. The punch was low because it hit the part below the navel / groin area. The effect to the nuts is just an added bonus in this case. His 'acting' was instant, in a split second, and his expression did not change in between. You show me one actor in the world who could fake that as a reaction when in the midst of a fight he is winning as clearly as humanly possible...

 

I in no case "hate" usyk . Quite the opposite , i give him full credits for his incredible skills and heart . I would love to cheer him when he faces and clears the true opponents . But that does not mean i support anything he does. Most boxing experts agree this shot was marginally low but tolerable .
