    This post is bull****. For any American's who don't understand the story, please read my post. These are horrible, vindictive, lies from a hater.



    Joey Barton probably is a thug. I won't deny that at all. He had a short temper and is a ****. End of, really. I dislike him, but maybe Hatton sees another side, I don't know.

    However, Joey Barton's brother was disowned before the vile attack. Joey has nothing to do with him, and hadn't for years before either.

    He did attack a black player, but this was not a racist attack. They are friends now and Barton has apologised.



    The sad thing is, people will read the first post and believe it. Shame. Any reason to blemish a geuinely nice fighter though, eh? It's just sad you are trying to implicate that Hatton is racist. Absolutely pathetic.

    its a sort of unwritten rule in britain;if youre a celeb and you know another celeb you have to nominally 'befriend' them;even if you have nothing in common and wouldnt **** on them if they werent famous.its a status thing.
    celebrity is far more important than good conduct and personality over here,sadly.

    Dude, you and someothers in this thread fail to read the part about the close friend Barton cowarldy beating up a black player (and getting sacked as a result of it). Deal with that and STOP focusing/ shifting to the half-brother storyline.

    Answer this: would you still be nates with somebosy so strongly identified with racist behaviour?

    ..but my real point is what king of a black person would want to support a white boxer with this kind of association (Bernard Manning framed photo in gym included)?

    But remember, Hatton had a great "get-out-clause" in the Diabo incident, to get out of "befriending" Barton. Anyway the article does say that they are "close friends".

    Again, answer me this: whys should I as a black person support Hatton (and so ferociously as other brits) against a black opponent who doesn't have similar associations. This is what Davis UK is havins some folks on here believe!

    So well put- the UK has its celeb circuit where everyone rubs shoulders- basically PR companies and media working together to create stories. They become a slave to the system, it becomes a drug, you ditch the ugly girlfriend etc. Unfortunately the americans see only the really tacky UK celebs; Spice girls, Vinnie Jones and Royal Butlers.

    Fair enough hatton maybe friends with barton and the late bernard manning but that does not mean he his racist. It would be like saying ALI was an enemy against america just because he was friends with Malcolm X.

    I agree with you. But you need to have a word in the likes of David UK's ears about his ridiculous assertion that Hatton deserves black support when he has at the very least associations with racists.
