Well then, we can now add you to the list of people that cannot score a fight properly. Other than the KD's, Peter pretty much dominated the other rounds.

I will look at it again, just to have a correct statement, because I like you as a poster, and I do like Peter.. he's a likable guy, but Don King sucks

That's fair. And I agree 100% on King.

Was Peter almost gone last night?... suprisingly, YES. But he came back very well and won almost every round after the 3rd. I had him winning by 2 points.

I'm going to mention ten names in the heavyweight division that would probably beat Peter:

W.Klitschko (Already did)
C.Byrd
A.Povetkin
S.Ibragimov
R.Chagaev
O.Maskaev
O.McCall
L.Brewster
N.Valuev
C.Brock

And there's more, seriously.. JC Gomez could do it.....

Peter's a good tough kid, he's shown heart.. but he's badly exposed after last night.

In my book, Peter's lost two fights as of now, that he's got the win on.. and that's against Toney I and now against McCline.
Seriously Swede, he's a likable guy.. but even you agree that last night he got exposed, as bad as it sounds :(, and you're the #1 Peter fan on this site, I appreciate that.

I can't argue with anything you say. I have to be an honest fan, which I am... every time. I will say that I believe he could beat every guy on that list as well, IF... he improves on a few things. If he looked like he did last night v.s. Wlad, he'd be disposed of by the 7th. I do think there is something to say about the fact that he was training for months to fight one guy and then had 10 days to prepare for a completely different type of fighter. And I mean night and day. No excuses, but any boxing fan has to consider that into the equation.

Excuses... Look at McCline, he was lined up for Vitali, than Williamson before he took the Peter fight in just a few days. How is that for "completely different type of fighters"? Though it's not that difficult to prepare for Peter because he basically was exposed since the Wlad fight, there is no mystery in how to fight and beat him.

there's no 'mystery' on beating any of these current heavyweights, the trick is always in execution, mccline executed for a couple of rounds, then gassed out and only tried to make it to the finish. the james toney school of doing nothing for 2 1/2 minutes every round sometimes works, sometimes it doesn't.
maybe wlad destroyed peter's chin, he took much harder shots than he did against mccline. if that's the case, he'll be ko'd shortly.

Must be the first fight you have seen. Peter gets exposed nearly everytime out.

even boxrecs automated rankings system seems to have thought peter did ****. he's actually gone down on place, and chagaev (who hasn't fought in 6 months) up one place after getting the decision!

:rofl
Peter's name never should have been above the other beltholder's names since he didn't even win his belt in the ring. Ring mag must be ranking Peter based on his percieved greatness.

IMO any of the current beltholders should beat him, especially Wladimir or Ruslan.

Peter - McCline

R1: 10-10
Both guys coming out in a soft tempo, McCline tries to find his range and use his jab effectively, lands a few good jabs. Peter comes out slow, trying to get to the body of McCline and gets in one or two good good right hands to the body, in the closing seconds of the round Peter lands an overhand right which may have given him the edge in this round.

R2: 8-10
Again, McCline is coming out throwing that jab, but not effectively landing them because he's too cautious in his range, virtually the first 1minute and a half was Peter plodding after McCline, and McCline popping very few jabs in his face, mostly pawing on Peter's gloves. Peter then gains composure and lands two nice overhand rights and shakes McCline, McCline weathers the much immediate onslaught and lands a perfect right uppercut that sends Peter flat on his butt, where he receives the count.

R3: 7-10
McCline comes out blazing, throws a beautiful right uppercut that catches Peter coming in, again.. Peter is plodding, leaving himself way too open for the powerpunches and goes down badly. He comes up and tries to survive but is badly hurt and is put down again by McCline that begins to pour it on, McCline looks a little stunned himself that he's got Peter this hurt.
Peter manage to survive and goes to his corner hurt.

R4: 9-10
McCline again, comes out with his jab, trying to circle around Peter to stay away from the ropes, there's few times that Peter actually backs him up to the ropes and unleashes his left hook, right hand over the top.. but most of his punches are blocked or partially blocked. In the last remaining minute McCline has saved his energy and throws two or so combinations on Peter, most is blocked but it's possibly enough for McCline to "steal" the round.
Peter looks a little shaken up from the drama in the previous round.

R5: 10-9
Peter comes out plodding, McCline slows down "radically" and Peter lands a couple of good body punches and in the last minute he hurts McCline with a straight right followed by a straight left, it sends McCline back to the ropes.
The last minute is won by McCline but it's not enough for him to get the round, he keeps away from the ropes even though he has slowed down radically. He shows that Peter can and will be potshotted in the future.

R6: 10-9
This round sucked except from one exchange in the middle of the round and one in the end, Peter's actually landing some jabs on McCline and pushes him back, but the pace is so slow that nothing happends, they just stay in the middle of the ring throwing awful jabs. In the last seconds they trade and Peter catches a left hook, right hook to the chin but eats it.

R7: 10-9
Both guys hits eachother flush with a few good right hands. Peter gets the edge because he's digging to the body and pressing the action. Although both guys gets tagged.

R8: 9-10
Both guys are actually landing more now, but Peter's shots are partially blocked, McCline wins on his jabs and combinations, one two, one two three. You could easily judge it for Peter though, because he had effective body punches.

R9: 10-9
Peter round, the first real decisive round for Peter.

R10: 10-9
Peter hit him with a vicious right hand, actually the first real right hand Peter landed on the night, but McCline showed his beard. Peter's starting to press the action but is way to slow to catch up with McCline and be able to put him on the canvas.

R11: 10-10
McCline goes back to his jab, Peter jabs to the body.. virtually nothing happends until the remaining 1 minute 45 seconds when McCline picks up speed and lands a good three jabs in a row to Peter's face.. he doesn't bother holding his hands up. They exchange and McCline gets the best of it, but Peter hits him with an uppercut on the break that stuns McCline.. McCline finds no problem in holding on to the much slower Peter.
Peter ends the round with McCline's back on the ropes, could have given the round to Peter because of that and due to the jabs he landed to the body. This round was hard to score.

R12: 10-9
Peter's next best round in the fight, he gets something done here.

I got the score 113 - 114 to the winner Jameel "Big Time" McCline.
But as you see, there's two 10-10 rounds.. ofcourse it could have been given to Peter, or it could have been given to McCline.. it was hard to score those two rounds. Either way, Peter showed a lacklustre performance last night and he's shown his mortality to all the hungry heavyweights out there, let the games begin. Be sure that WBC will now be the most wanted crown in Heavyweight boxing :hey:yep

This fight was fixed by Don King . He wants to Peter to be new champion and this happend. Why McCline to get shot, this must to analise everybody of us, notbody uf us dident expact this great fight by McCline, he shows his heart and congratilations for him. Im sure that he will beat also Valuev and will be robbed same like with Peter but he was injury and lost. What i want to say is that Peter soupose to fight Virchis or McCall thats it and all this thinks doing once again Don King. I agree apsolutly with you Marcus.

Peter looks ashamed of his performance. He complains about his hands, thinking they're both broken.. but what did he break them on, he sure didn't land those devastating punches that could of broken his hands :yep.
Peter looks like he did against James Toney in their first bout, he looks like a beaten man, this sure did not add to his confidence.
Another thing is, how everyone says he's improved so much since he fought Wladimir Klitschko, well.. last night he fought with his hands just as low as he did against Wladimir, and last night, Wladimir would once again thorougly rough him up, even stop him this time around.
Peter's a likable guy, but let's face it.. he's not what he's made up to be. It's a shame since his personality is fine and he's got the right approach to be intimidating.
And remember, it was Jameel that took this fight on a short notice, not Peter :hey

I wonder if Peter looked so good in Toney II because he was mad. Sometimes anger can motivate the **** out of somebody. He had to deal with the king of trash talking in Toney along with the fact people said he lost part I and needed to do it again.
