Lewis went on his own terms. Yes he'd have taken an easy 8 figure pay day to have an easy re-match with Tyson, but there were no fights around that would have eclipsed the fights he had already had and his motivation had gone so he decided to retire.

Amazing how some Klitschko fans seem delusional about the Lewis vs Vitali fight. The fact is that Lennox Lewis was out of shape, lacked motivation, and was old, yet he still legitimately TKO'd Vitali. Indeed, if the fight had not been stopped at the point it was, then Vitali may well have lost sight in one eye. Just because Vitali fought well and was up on the scorecards, does not mean he would have automatically won the fight. Once he was cut, Lewis was picking him off with the jab, and also caught him with the uppercut. If anything, I believe if the fight had continued, Lewis would have KO'd Vitali. He couldn't see out of one eye ffs! Also, Vitali whilst a good fighter, is nowhere near the level of Lewis in terms of resume, achievements, and place on the ATG heavyweights list, and if Klitschko fans don't accept this then they are living in an alternate reality!
