Ive been training for about 7 months.... And about 2 months now i started sparring, and im thinkin im ready to get my boxing license.... Sooo many things are holdin me back im losin the enthusiams and motivation that i had when i train... I Feel like im wastin my time cuz i aint gettin closer to get my license or any fights...
On top of that it seems like my trainer is only focused on the other fighters cuz they got themselves situated and got fights comin up... I feel like his dodgin me did it 3 times already, maybe testin my devotion i have for boxing??? idk..... Somethin i shouldve let u know was i train at his house in the basement nice setup he got there, but hes friends wit the town boxing gym here so he said on friday we go cuz i gotta spar wit someone from the gym so i could show the owner if im ready to fight... Mate, I know how you feel. I've been training hard all year, in the summer I was feeling fit and ready, not very experienced but I just wanted to give it a go but I was waiting for my gym to sort out my medical to save me paying for it. I knew I wouldnt stay at that peak forever so I wanted to make the most. Then it was close season, then I got a niggling knee ligament injury which got worse so I can't really train to fight until next year now. My advice would be sort the license out off your own back and sort as much out as you can yourself so as little as possible is left to others. I never really started to lose enthusiasm though it did knock me back at times. I wouldn't worry, the time in the gym isn't wasted as the more you do, the better you'll be come fight time but there's no better way of learning that doing it for real so keep it up and mider the hell out your trainer or find another!
