GGG is a nice guy and a sportsman--that's all illwill007 was saying and it's true. How do you get that illwill007 hates brothers from his comments? Seems like a bit of a stretch, Pibb. :nut

 

If you want to see GGG fight the best, the hype's essential- the other top guys have no reason to take on the risk unless it gets them paid or the fans demand it.

He goes back to just another underexposed, undersupported fighter, where's the motivation for the best of the best to fight him? He'd just go back to being vice president of the Who Needs Em club (of which Rigo is currently the president).

All GGG can do is keep knocking out contenders like he has been doing. Until DiBella agrees to put Serg in with him, the rest of the top 10 will have to do.

 

Golovkin wants to fight the other champions, but they won't come near him because he is too good. 350 amateur fights, Golovkin knows what he is doing. Those who hate Golovkin also hate Klitschkos, Povetkin, Tyson Fury, Adamek, Hugie Fury, Kovalev, Shumenov, ad infinitum............

Mayweather is my favorite active fighter, but I don't support his latest nonsense. In fact, even the very Pro-Mayweather, Vivek Wallace, offered criticism of Maywether's bull****. You know, taunting a fighter you have no intentions of fighting. Putting a new roadblock in the way.

For parity, here is my position on some other top ranked boxers.

I also don't think that Adrien Broner is very good, certainly not the next Mayweather(which is obvious now, but before the Maidana fight, some pole smokers were saying that he had the best upper body movement they ever seen...lol). I said this before he got his hair brushed by Maidana. I think that Broner can win the rematch. Quillin is garbage and will lose to GGG. Wlad should have been embarassed to fight Povetkin the way he did. Crawford will beat Burns and make it look easy. Andre Ward is the most solid fighter in the world, and will beat both Stevenson and Kovalev. Rigondeaux will beat Lomachenko. GGG can be a great fighter, but I want to see him get some quality wins too. GGG would lose to Ward, and Mayweather(at 154).

Also, I should have addressed the OP, I too want to see GGG get some quality wins. Still, in watching the rise, I can see the talent, and enjoy his fights. It's not like saying he's perfect and unbeatable, Ward would toy with him.

 

I agree with you. Not trying to knock on Golovkin but facts are facts. His resume just doesn't add up to all of the hype.

That said, as a boxing fan, I'd love to see him in against the top tier @ 160. However, until that happens, the Golovtards need to STFU will all of the "Golovkin KO's Roy Jones, Marvin Hagler and Sugar Ray Robinson all on the same night" noise...

 

When these so called "higher tier fighters" develop the stones to get in the ring with him...

 

If the 160lb'ers dont want to fight, guess what? There's a WHOLE other division just 8 pounds North FULL of good fighters just waiting for Golovkin whenever he's finished fighting 154lb'ers...
