The only rounds Castillo won clearly were 6-7 and I gave him 8 too for good measure and mementum. But he did no damage..he landed about 5 head shots if that. He won on activity only and not clean punching b/c he didnt land **** clean. Floyd just did little to nothing in those rounds. But Floyd in round 11 ..lol the second half of the round he stood his ground and landed everything he threw at Castillo and bust his face up backed him up. its like these clowns just fast forward past that part. You see Castillo's head flying back to the side and the hardest punch Castillo landed was one low blow and that right hand in round 7 and Floyd didnt even flinch. :rofl
I had it 7-5 Mayweather. I remember it as pretty cut and dry to score. Most of the rounds were pretty clear and easy to score. From my memory, I believe that there was only one round that was hard to score in that fight.....I thought about giving it a 10-10 for that round, but I decided on giving it to Mayweather for cleaner more telling connects. ......that round could have easily gone the other way and I'd have a draw scorecard. 7-5 scorecard either way is acceptable to me.
what is obnoxious is u even bringing up this thread....we all know it was a close fight...I had it a draw...PBF was hurt and he avenged the close fight after....so u thought JLC won...good...but floyd got the decision...what is the point it happened like 7 years ago
It was the first time I seen the fight in its entirety, Paulie. I think I had every right to score it, and share it with the board. You don't want to discuss a fight in which you're boy arguably lost, stay out of the thread.
Although Castillo barely landed anything clean the whole fight, Mayweather landed even less. What shots Mayweather did land after the first four rounds was minimal, but Castillo got a lot of work done to the body. The fact is, if Mayweather back pedals the entire round and lands 2-3 counter shots whilst Castillo is pressing, throwing twice as many, and hitting to the body - trapping Mayweather in the corner. How else is anyone supposed to score the round?
When most of the body work is low, and the jabs of Mayweather are snapping Castillo's head, as was the case in the 8th, to Mayweather. When Castillo could pin him against the ropes and actually unload to the body, he'd win rounds. He nearly, and quite possibly, lost the 11th because Mayweather would put JLC's head on a swivel when he'd land.
I disagree with you. At least this time your opinion isn't as ridiculous as calling Marco Antonio Barrera a one-handed fighter (that still makes me chuckle). There were a few rounds where there wasn't a lot between the two men. The round in which Mayweather recieved a point deduction is debatable. It could have been 9-9 or 10-8. It's a huge shift. Likewise, Lederman scored round 3 for Castillo - whereas a lot of people if not the majority scored it for Mayweather. Round 5 was also very close - I gave it to Castillo, but some give it to Mayweather. There wasn't much in the closing rounds either - I gave Mayweather round 12 out of generosity. It was a hard fight to score. imo.
I think you're over exaggerating the effectiveness of Mayweather's jab in this fight. He didn't throw it with much consistency, but when it did land - it was a hard, head snapping jab - I'll admit. I went into this fight with no agenda. I can see why some people would score it for Mayweather. He could have won the round he got a point deduction making it 9-9 as opposed to 8-10, and he may have won the 5th round as well as the 10th. They were close competitive rounds.
You mean per fight sequence...lol One guy pressing forward throwing 7-8 shots NONE landing or scoring and one guy countering him with 2 shots.....The 2 shots count. I guess you didnt see round 11. I take your 2-3 counters and raise you about a 6 piece. Castillo got hit with a 6 punch combo all landing flush. I guess you just closed your eyes during that part. [yt]xyjaojqkGmk[/yt] I love posting the actual fight.Just play that ****...see who is landing the punches..How many UNANSWERED shots did Floyd land....2-3? How many did Castillo land.. He landed 2 head shots and probably 3 body shots the rest were low or blocked.
Before we get into this further, I just want a bit of information regarding yourself. What was your scorecard, and who are your top three favorite current fighters?
Castillo landed a 100 more power punches!!! LOL how the f*** did they give it to floyd!! It was total bull sh**!! Castillo had that tender B**** in high heels that night!!!!!!!
