Man, thats the first time I have ever watched a full Kessler fight, & the guy was quite simply outstanding.

This was arguably a bigger boxing clinic kessler put on than even Calzaghes against Lacy, Kessler had everything. Great defence, great handspeed & fought at a fast pace for 12 rounds, & hit a good fighter like Andrade with every punch in the book, some of his counter-punching & combos quite simply had my jaw dropping in awe.

His jab to the body & slashing left hook were his stand out punches I thought, but the guys is flawless. If I was a Calzaghe fan I would be VERY worried about this fight.

****, I didnt realise just how good this Kessler guy was, he quite simply blew me away.

If Calzaghe can beat this guy, he deserves every plaudit people can throw at him. If Calzaghe can beat Kessler? Its huge.

    What a fight.

I havent got the bollocks right now to make a prediction right now, Im going to watch Calzaghes last fight against Bika later this week, then its neck on the line time.

Thats why this is a Super-Fight my friend - as Enzo Calzaghe said - "you never gonna get another fight like this again in the UK" -

So get yourself down to the millenium as it aint gonna happen again in our lifetime...

i have long said having seen about 8 fights of kessler , that kessler has the purest and most effcient stereotypical stand up euro style i have seen .

the fight will be hard for calzaghe and any win is a good win IMO.

dunky i know it was short lived and stopped prematurely, but the manfredo fight did recieve a bit of hype.

fights to watch are woodhall and veit 2 as joe is going to have to adapt his gameplan to a better version of them.

mundine fight v kessler for how kessler adapts, albeit except for round 3 mundine boxed of the backfoot on the permiter and potshotted a bit, but kessler closed him down very well and nullified his speed.

yeah and the undercard is ****in great too eh! In terms of ticket sales Warren is putting all his eggs in one basket and counting on one fight.

yeah it's hard to pick holes in Kessler's game from what little I've seen of him. But who has he fought? Beyer was shot and crap anyway...does Andrade offer anything beyond a rock jaw?

Kessler is amazing. He hasn't really lost a round in his career. World titles etc

    It's a super-fight.

The winner becomes a top P4P/

    Nothing to worry about Dunky.

Mikkel won 11 of the 12 rounds I reckon but he was still troubled by the pressure and had to constantly work. I think a good brawler will give Kessler trouble as well as well If they have a chin.

Andrade was an unproven prospect who's best win was over a comebacking Otis Grant who retired afterwards. At least Lacy won the IBF and was more proven.

Andrade Is not that good, he has power and a chin but I'm convinced a one handed Calzaghe could beat him.

Not a more dominating fight than the Lacy fight.

Kessler's mostly a combination fighter with good footwork and tucks his elbows In for defence.

Lacy would win all 12 agaisnt Andrade, thats if hes didn't K.O him. Still Andrade is a good fighter and good test for any contender, nothing more.

Are you trying to influence the betting odds with this thread before you stake your life's savings on Calzaghe?

I have to say i wouldn't have said that Kessler's performance was more spectacular against Andrade, than the one Calzaghe put on against Lacy, although Kessler was very impressive against Andrade.

I think this fight is going to be alot closer than people think. Kessler is so much better than Lacy, he does have that European style which looks almost robotic, but Kessler's style is very effective, and he can cut the ring off very quickly, fires good combo's, has a laser jab, and a good chin. I hope is a really competitive fight, one sided is boring, let's see a good tear up!! Boxing needs a some good fights, and i hope this one lives upto the hype. Like Dunky i watched the Kessler Vs Andrade fight and there is no doubt Kessler is very good. Roll on Saturday. Have a safe journey to all those who are travelling to Wales.

hmm. Interesting stuff, as you are probably one of the most knowledgeable posters when it comes to european boxing, so cheers for the advice:good As for your point about Manfredo though, I wasnt really sure what you meant, did you mean I should give it another watch? well thats what I took from it anyway, & watched it again tonight, along with the Bika fight.

Trouble for me though is I dont have any of the Calzaghe fights you recommended anymore, maybe my pal will have them, but its a long shot. If he has though, I'll give 'em a watch & thats a promise. as for Kessler aginst Mundine, I can only find a few of the rounds on Youtube, but I'll watch them anyway before fight time.

But Im quite happy that I watched Calzaghes last two fights now, its gave me a 'feel' of how this fights going to go. I just wish i could see more of Kessler, cos to date I have only seen him whup & Andrade & seen brief highlights of him KO'ing Beyer, & soon will see a bit of him against Mundine. But I think I have seen enough of Kessler just in that one fight to make me realise Calzaghes in for the fight of his life.
