i just watched kovalev v ward with sound off and scored it .....

Everybody scored it to Kovalev with commentary teams pulling for Ward ffs lol.

Ward's punches never troubled Kovalev.

 

Doesn't matter they never troubled him, he's not a big puncher. You just exposed why you felt kovalev won; because he's stronger.

 

i dont count those punches to the kidneys or liver while your locked in the clinch but even i scored the fight for ward

 

Most of Ward's punches were body punches and quick inside shots that are easily missed or discredited.

Nobody is fair to the weaker puncher anymore.

 

this... holy **** this!... genetics would determine most boxing fights because power cant really be built past a certain point, you either have it or you dont

 

It bugs me, people always says bull**** like "look at their faces after the fight" or "but he almost knocked him out!" So. ****ing. What?!

Winning a round by a jab is the same as winning a round by 10 punches. People need to wise the **** up and realize the fight isn't scored on a ****ing health meter, it's scored in sections; and you gotta win majority of the sections.

Like I said, Ward nicked his rounds, Kovalev punctuated his. But who had the majority?

 

It was one of the most evenly contested fights I've seen in a very very long time. I can't say I'm shocked to see posters on here claiming robbery though, I figured Ward wouldn't get any credit anyways, but honestly I'm sickened by these robbery claims. Give the dude his credit man, he had to dig deep to pull this off. He's earned it.

If a round is won by a jab then nothing happened in that round. This is basically the business of effectively hurting another man.

 

I scored it in Ward's favor too because I thought he just landed better hits.

From looking at the after effects though, Ward clearly looked more damaged.

The obviously explanation is Kov just hits a lot harder.

But that makes me feel very conflicted in how things should be scored. The point of boxing has to be to damage your opponent, but I don't really know how to factor in "he hits harder" in scoring when you can't really tell by anything except the after effects.

 

Ward received enough credit every time he throw a punch! The crowd reaction had a massive influence on the judging.
Then you had the commentary team state after the fight . Which one of these two important things will influence the fight . 1 The knock down 2. a Russian fighting an American in Las Vegas. .
They said it not me. Kellerman and Company actual laughed about it.

 

Yeah, you right, I read a great deal of posts where people were saying that whoever won that they would man up and congratulate the winner. Now these gents are running off at the mouth screaming foul and robbery and whoa is me and have mercy and everything else. Not a man bone in their bodies.

 

i think it was you who suggested i watch round 10 again, i did and my score did infact change. kov took that round. i still have ward winning the fight but no doubt i got that round wrong

 

I had it Kovalev 116-115 but most of the rounds were close it was no robbery.
