i just watched kovalev v ward with sound off and scored it .....

Even looking back it now.. Kovalev won the first 4 with a KD.. albeit.. but Andre won the last 8 rounds in my eyes..


Scoring a fight at the time and afterwards might be slightly different..

 

If people disagree they don't know "boxing".. which is running and using your left hand..

 

Which is why you're always on the losing side of these big fights wise up dummy.

 

I agree, it was close, no way was it a robbery, the Perez Vs Hooker fight before that was a robbery. That was shocking, absolutely disgusting.

Last night I scored it to Kovalev but I can't see how anybody can't give Ward huge credit, truly great fighters find a way, they adapt and Ward was shook in round one with a jab and dropped in the second but dragged himself off the floor, made adjustments and went on to get the decision and even if you don't agree with the decision you st the very least have to concede Ward made it very competitive and very close after a very bad start.

Also there were plenty of Kovalev fans and general boxing fans who were saying for a long time there is far more to Kovalev than just power, he wasn't out boxed or embarrassed so for him to go the distance with a clever boxing talent like Ward and to make it that close says to me Kovalev is a huge talent also.

My takeaway from last night was these are two great fighters who fought each other for twelve rounds and there was little to split them, I'd love to see a rematch, I think it has to happen and I hope everybody who had an interest in the fight last night appreciates the fine talents they are, nobody was disgraced and both fighters proved a lot of people wrong.

 

a fight isn't won by punches landed but it's based winning round by rounds and in my opinion Ward won more rounds than Kovalev
