i just watched martinez williams again

Travesty that one judge. This was actually the fight of the year for me. LAmpley was his usual annoying self all over Sergios nuts. I had Martinez 115-113 or a draw at worst.

 

Fair enough.

 

I've had it a draw both times I've watched it

 

Martinez won. I'm with the majority on that. It was pretty clear.

 

I didn't do a round by round so I can't/won't claim a score. I know that ain't the ESB way, but...

I just remember Martinez clearly outclassing Pdub early on and Pdub just being relentless by the end of the fight. Of course one man looked more like the loser than the other.....

 

After watching it several times again, Martinez won.

 

Damn close fight. Martinez was not "robbed," but that one judge who had the wacked out scorecard should never be allowed to judge any fight ever again. Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles could do better.

This was my favorite fight of 2009. I also think Martinez won. I hope we get to see a rematch.

 

115 113 Williams, mostly cause I thought he was more active during the 12 rds. I might like Martinez better next time I watch it and give him the edge,
that's how close I felt it was.

S. Martinez seemed to pace himself too much giving Paul more of the initiative, I don't know if that was the smartest thing he could do, cause if he kept going at it like the first three rds, he could be well ahead going into the 11 and 12, although more tired.

Martinez clearly won imo.

He won on clean effective punching, plain and simple.
