I don't get the Holt hate at all. Dude is quiet as they come and doesn't trash talk at all it seems. AND, he's a pretty damn good boxer. He's got talent, so I don't see what's not to like. I think most not-so-knowledgeable boxing fans believe he isn't very good because he's been KD'd several times. If Holt's chin was really as bad as most would have you believe, he would never get up from those KD's to begin with. :-(

It's not hate. You're right, he is a good fighter, quite slick good power and is certainly in the mix at 140 especially if he can beat Bradley. However, this thread is about one particular fight and one particular win, not about his career and talent in general. And I, in line with much of the board, feel that win has something of an asterisk by it. If that's hating then I guess I'm guilty, but I don't think it is.

Not anymore of an asterik than Torres-Holt I. If you ask me, I'd say that's karma.

Yes, that one is dodgy as well I would agree. Holt deserved a rematch then and Torres deserves one now. I'm sure you're gonna tell me that it's Torres' fault it never happened and I'm not going to argue with you as I am obviously not as well informed on the situation. Nevermind anyway, onwards and upwards, Holt-Bradley is a perfectly good alternative.
