I kind of thought Cotto won.

I picked Cotto but I thought Alvarez won a clear decision in a close fight.

Canelo 7-5 or a case for a draw I didn't see Cotto winning however j did have him ahead at half way mark

Scores were just too close but why you expect?

I just find that when Cotto has lost the recent decisions the score cards were wider than the actual winner deserved

    But anyway fak it

I kind of thought Cotto won, too....well a draw really. But I will watch again one day, even though I'm not enthusiastic about either fighter.

Cotto was mildly staggered a few times. Never seriously in danger of being stopped, but there were times where it felt like Canelo could have stopped Cotto but he had so much respect for Cotto that he didn’t push it. Canelo wasn’t ever staggered but a few of Cotto’s punches definitely got his attention.

Cotto took punishment, and was constantly moving around the ring. Canelo was the ring general but Cotto did land more combos. However those combos had little snap on their punch.

Cotto at this stage isn’t as feather fisted as Malignaggi, but compared to Canelo, well Canelo is just that good that he made Cotto look like Malignaggi.

Canelo beat Cotto more convincingly than Floyd beat Cotto. To the victor go the spoils.

Why are you making it seem like canelo was carrying him? Canelo maybe hurt him 1 time and that's it. Canelo will never be on the level of mayweather or PAC. Especially if fighting an outweighed cotto is considered a good win. And specially if this fight is cobsidered an impressive performance

I had it 5-5 after 10 then had Canelo winning the last 2 rounds making it 7-5 or 115-113 in favour of Canelo.

Canelo has had way more fights than both Floyd and Pac this early in his career. Canelo is a bigger star at the age of 25 than either Floyd or Pac were. Canelo is as close to the level of prime Mayweather in terms of ring IQ and skills than anyone in boxing right now.

Of course Floyd has bigger names on his resume, guys like DLH who are no longer in boxing. That’s not Canelo’s fault, Canelo just beat a future HOFer fairly easily by UD.

Which rounds did you give to Cotto. For once, I actually though the Lederman card was fine through 4 rounds. (Cotto winning the 1st, Canelo 2 and 3, Cotto 4) I thought Canelo won the 5th, the 6th was very close and probably could have been even or given to Cotto, after that I thought it was pretty much all Canelo.

I had it 7-5 Cotto. There were many very close rounds, so yes, I suppose if all you were looking at was Canelo following Cotto then you could see it as "aggressive ring generalship" but I saw it as Cotto boxing according to plan: jab, keep Canelo off balance and not allowing him to get in any rythmn, and Canelo following Cotto around the ring helplessly unable to cut off the ring.

The judges didn't have any Tequila or Mescaline.

I had Cotto winning by a round, but it was a close fight and I wouldn't argue a Canelo win. But that judging...Canelo has gotten more than the benefit of the doubt every single time he's been a tough fight. He got a ridiculously fishy fast stoppage against Alfonso Gomez in 2011(and the cards for that fight were awful). In 2013, he won a dubious wide decision against Austin Trout in a fight that could have gone either way. The same year he got badly outclassed by Floyd but somehow CJ Ross found six rounds to give Canelo. Wins another could have gone either way fight against Lara where one of the cards was an insane 117-111. Wins last night against Cotto(in another could have gone either way fight) by crazy margins on the cards. I respect Canelo for be willing to make big fights in the last three years or so, but this is not a good look for boxing.
