Were you on your tread mill at the time? I bet they all said ," I should have known better than to bet against the Bible of Boxing" didn't they? "he lived through those times!"

Should have lost? Did he do something illegal?

Give it a rest Terry, why don't you enjoy retirement?

But he DID whip Hearns, though, did n't he ?

The roles of puncher and boxer were reversed that night. Like Muhammad Ali before him,Leonard always seemed to find a way.

Absolutely nothing against Perry but this is some of the funniest stuff i have read in here. The only thing missing is that they may have broken into light applause at the end.

as much as I like Leonard, and we all know he was great, everything Ray did, Norris did better.

which is why he had such an easy time with him

Leonard was a poor man's Terry Norris

I didnt feel that Tommy was quite ready despite his impressive wins

defenses vs impotent randy shields (a punching bag), Pablo Baez, in need of a last minute top ten ranking, made me suspect

Leonard was better conditioned, and with the superior trainer to get him ready

One thing that came out of it was the blueprint of speed and movement that would later be put in practice to beat Sugar, successfully executed to perfection by Terry Norris

Norris was an excellent fighter but was never in SRL league technically nor on an ATG scale. Leonard was a Olympic gold medalist and holds victories over multiple ATG fighters....Benitez, Hearns, Duran and Hagler.

Imagine Leonard ten years younger - The version who beat Ayub Kalule fighting Norris.
