I knew Leonard would whip Hearns

Silly statement and I was not a Leonard fan. No one rates Norris over Leonard. Beating Mugabi, Brown, Taylor, and a very shop worn Leonard (very tail end of his career) pales in comparison to the ATG fighters SRL owns wins over. Incomparable and it’s written in history as Norris is always rated below SRL if Norris is rated at all. The only ATG Norris best was Leonard and he was a shot fighter at that time.

Name three historians that rate Norris over Leonard.

Idiotic statements. None of the fighters Norris beat were ATG fighters aside from Leonard but Leonard was a shot fighter at the time.

Leonard beat Hearns, Duran, Benitez and Hagler ALL considered ATG champions.

Please show all the historians that rate Norris over Leonard pfp. The reason you won’t post any is that they don’t exist. The only person that rates Norris over SRL is YOU.

 

Norris came out of the Texas amateur circuit a notoriously low talent level area of the country. SRL in comparison won Olympic gold at a time where the Cuban amateurs were considered akin to US pros. Leonard DOMINATED in this very competitive environment. Where is Norris’s Olympic gold medal?

Norris was beaten NINE times in his career knocked out FOUR times. SRL was beaten three times and stopped only once in his final pro bout.

Leonard is considered not only a highly rated ATG welterweight but also a pfp ATG fighter. Norris is neither.

Again I ask you list three historians that rated Norris over SRL pfp. If you can’t all you have is your own opinion and that don’t cut it buddy.

Coming back to win in a losing fight against ATG competition is what MAKES an ATG. Leonard’s come from behind KO over Hearns is one of boxing’s great comeback victories. Stuff that ATG are made of.

you are confusing 1981 with 1991.. I remember Norris being knocked down with a jab against Brown. Hearns was never knocked down with a jab.
